How is the controls system supossed to work?

Hi,
I have a very basic system about the new controls system in 2024.
I see there are 3 “layers” of controls, one for general, one for aircraft, one for the specific aircraft.

If I want to set say a keyboard key to some command how do I know which one of these 3 layers I’m setting?

For example I would like to set “w” to some command for ALL aircraft. And then I would like to set “z” to some command for the specific aircraft I have loaded, how should I proceed?

Hi @LuisArgerich ,
Have you seen this?:

I’ve read it twice and it seems impossible to manage.

I’ve read through the FAQ a couple times now as well.

What’s not explained properly in the FAQ is what the 3 different profiles per controller are for. While it does hint at creating specific profiles for each aircraft, it does not explain why you want or need to have 2 other profiles: General controls and Aircraft controls. It appears you can map the same assignments in either so it’s confusing.

The fact is that we can’t import 2020 controls or have “logic” default bindings but it’s not.

Example: My Logitec G HOTAS with the trigger behind the joystick should actuate the brakes but instead it … flips the camera 180° behind.
