What I’m saying is I’ve seen it where people have super stable overclocks (24 hours on Prime95, etc), and then CTD on MSFS. But yes, there is still software issues with SU5.
No CTD at all with default A320 and heli H135.
I’m very satisfied with all new quality and changes.
I flew the TBM from KBUR to KSAN and back, about 2 hours all up.
Ran fine, but my altitude was wrong the entire time.
Altitude bug is a (very) annoying, but known issue. I am sure that Asobo is on it right now and will come with a patch asap. They are aware that this is a deal breaker for many pilots here who are oriented towards serious ifr oriented flying.
To answer the op. I’ve flown for 30+ hours without any ctd. I7 9790k, 3080.
There were two simmers who flown (I think it was) Aberdeen to Sidney (11 hours) in a cessna citation. No issues.
So where does that leave us?
I hope that Asobo will give the community a patch soon, but I seriously think that it might be the third parties who will have to patch sooner.
Been flying entire day without CTD or any other game braking problems, maybe i’m blessed.

For me it usually randomly CTDs about 1 or 1,5h in the flight, just cruising, in different places in the world, seems compleatly random but happens almost every flight
I’m not running any overclocks
I’m running a i9-10900K, 2080ti, 32 gig of ram, 2k monitor. I’ve never used the community folder. I didn’t even know where it was, or what is was for until this update came out. Other than the issues like the UI and other bugs that don’t directly affect actual flying, I’ve been making complete flights without CTD. I did have ctd’s when trying to download the update. Most of the time when I do get a CTD, it happens before I leave the airport. My CTD’s usually happen when I connect my HOTAS after the load into flight from the menu. For example, my HOTAS is not yet connected when I load up flight sim and I’m in the menu. I then start the flight and I’m sitting in the plane. I power the HOTAS up and it sometimes freezes the screen and it CTD. The only other times I had CTD’s during flight was months ago when I would bring up the nav map during flight. I’ve been lucky so far with CTD with this update.
I’ve been flying for hours and haven’t had any major issues. But you probably won’t hear from guys like me since people only post when they have problems.

No, I am posting since last year August to praise and hype this superb photorealism graphics.
Flew from Akron-Fulton to LaGuardia, went fine albeit bad weather and when I approached La Guardia FPS went down to about 15 - 20 fps, but that was to be expected with that lot of traffic going to JFK and La Guardia.
Besides the weird thing with the trim and the first training lesson not realizing I have a TrackIr on, everything seems to be good.
Decent hotfix coming at 1500Z Friday!
Let’s hope they really did nail some of these crashes!

I had disabled hyperthreading a while ago to try it out. The sim functioned as usual maybe with slightly less stuttering? Anyways, I had forgotten I did that. I downloaded the update just fine and was actually able to fly around a bit soon after but today all I could do was fire up the sim ok and that’s about it. I could not load into a flight ? I tried all continents, small airports, big airports? I’m gonna try enabling the hyperthreading and see what happens. I’ll report back.
Last evening, I was flying from KTUS to KVNY, and made it as far as the mountains just past Palm Springs, when it was like I hit a wall. The sim totally locked. I waited for several minutes, thinking it would come out of it, but then CTRL-ALT-DEL’d. The task manager showed that FS was really busy doing something, but I decided to end it anyway.
6 hrs gate to gate using stock long haul aircraft and an empty community folder.
Today just started for me but yesterday I did a total of 3 200+ NM flights without any issues whatsoever aside from the fact that the scenery looks much worse despite running fully maxed out aside from resolution scale at 100. Only reason I didn’t keep playing MSFS is because of the scenery problems.
Two flight completed. One from Miami to Atlanta. Then the other from Mexico city to a viewer requested home town. Can’t remember the name of it but it was a good 2hrs. Atl flight was close to 3.5hrs.. So yesterday 5.5 hrs+ no issues.
Game did crash trying to load Mexico but then second time it was good.

Had about 2 hours flying SU5 (after having to reinstall the entire game) and no CTD so far so fingers crossed it will remain like that

Has anyone who has persistent CTD’s tried increasing the page file?, I used to have a constant problem with CTD’s but changing my page file size worked wonders
