JUST WHO THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE COMING ON HERE WITH KNOWLEDGE THAT TURNS OUT TO BE CORRECT!? Well, that fixed it! LOL
Well I’m playing on laptop with joystick no mouse so that could explain my issue. Can you confirm the wipers turn on and off with the scroller?
Have any advice for those of us using the thrustmaster throttle??
change the throttle axis to x- and y- that should do for the efb setup
Have you made sure to calibrate throttle in beginning of flight using EFB?
Yes, they work. Same with the seat belt switches, same with NAV IRS knobs. Gotta use the mouse scrollwheel…
I implore anyone using this aircraft to READ THE MANUAL… This is NOT your average default MSFS aircraft. A lot of stuff doesn’t work in the same way you are used to.
I saw in the details of purchase that was a requirement I was taking my chances I guess. Guess I’ll have to plug a mouse in. Thanks for confirming that for me.
Does the CRJ work with the native ATC or am I out of luck?
Yes, it does. You have to import a PLN file in the World Map (from SimBrief)… Or use the World Map Planner. Then make sure what you are entering into FMC matches what’s in the world map. That’s why SimBrief is the way to go.
Are the wheel chocks in on the EFB? Any add-ons, such as “Push Back Helper” installed? If you are able to release it by engaging and disengaging after the first attempt, please let me know (this has been seen in other aircraft, so just checking)
You should have a bunch…
Any more specifics?
Are you using the Auto mode, by chance? For those familiar with other aircraft (Airbus, Boeing), it works a little differently on the CRJ. Just checking.
No. Not sure if there is a saved custom view, but either way you can take the drone back there just fine. And likely setup custom views, although I haven’t tried that.
Yes, it does. Native ATC gets the route from the flight plan created in the World Map (which you can also import). This does not transfer to the in-game FMS / FMC at this time however, so for now you will need to re-build it during pre-flight / cockpit setup.
For 3 position switches, best to use the scroll wheel on your mouse to change the switch position (if you have one). I don’t recall any issue with this during beta, other than one isolated case if you create a flight plan with no departure airport on the FPLN page, and then go to load an arrival. But if it is doing this for you, would like to gather as much info as possible.
And one thing as mentioned before, the EFB is the best place to select the desired aircraft state (Cold & Dark, Engines Running, etc). Best not to rely on MSFS to set the desired aircraft state, and just get in the habit of doing that when you start.
Anyone else having CTDs while trying to load into a flight?
Sim starts fine, planning etc is all good… So I hit fly now… It will load to somewhere around 60-75%, then it will CTD.
Only happening with the CRJ (both types). No matter the airport I try too. I have emptied my community folder so it only contains the CRJ and still have the same issue.
The only other AC that is cuttently causing CTDs similar to this is the Carenado Waco (sine the new SU3)
PC Specs: AMD 1600AF @4.1GHz - RTX2080 8Gb (non-ti/non-super) - 32Gb of RAM.
Cheers
No CTD’s to report from me.
Okay so I’ve managed to solve previous issues mentioned by myself. Overall I think this is a quality aircraft after spending a decent amount of time today in it, surely has been a fun learning challenge.
How are you folks using your fms? Are you manually inputting your data in the plane to create a flight plan? Have you been able to get a simbrief flight plan to load into the fms? Have you been able to get the flight plan to work from the world map menu loaded in? I would like to know more about your experience with it so far. Myself I’ve been trying to learn how to use it properly as of now.
Any other issues to report out there?
I found this YouTube video and will try this method and see how it goes.
@N417ZS, did you mean VNAV because LNAV is for lateral navigation and wouldn’t affect altitude capture.
All I can say it it is simply amazing!!! I was afraid I got it at first but man The Framerates are perfect what a detailed plane and framerates are stable !!! I am still having difficulties with the Autopilot because it is soooo different and difficult
I have 30 - 35 on the FBW
The CRJ is 20 - 26
32GB
Aerosoft said the FPS would be comparable with the FBW32X
I like the CRJ so far but only had 1.5 hours with it and just a little checking out done.
Today EHAM -ENBR
I was flying a very short flight from KSAN to KLAX, and while flying, I had set my SIDS and STAR, departure went fairly uneventfully, but on the approach it was really hard for me to be able to maintain proper thrust and also look up the charts and set radios compared to what I have been used to these past 3 months, but once I get it back it to the swing of things it will go much smoother.
I’m going to experiment more with my alpha and bravo, but here’s a couple of posts where I summarise how I’ve set these up with FSUIPC - it’s not perfect by any means yet though and a couple of oddities. I’ll post something more comprehensive soon. Explicitly covers the flaps “axis” (note that the flap up/down lever works though).
There is also this guide posted by @JuiceBox7535 which is very helpful if you don’t use FSUIPC (or vjoy or something similar)
Got to the “Aircraft” tab in the EFB and you can choose how you want the plane to be set up by default or change to a different setting - cold and dark, ready to taxi etc.
I would REALLY recommend reading the manuals for this thing and doing the tutorials and watching the videos posted above.
Not good because when i spawn it in and try to turn on the batterie on nothing happens and the efb doesnt work .i have already tried everythin restarting my computer deleting the crj and reinstalling it according to the manual and i have already contacted aerosoft but nothing worked…
