How to disable Cockpit Button or Dial Descriptions (also under jets)

Similar topic is under “Jets” but this topic is added here for all “Airplanes”.

You can turn off the button & dial description that pops up when you
move the mouse over them.

  1. When flying press “esc” key.
  2. Under “Options screen”, select “General”.
  3. Select “Accessibility”.
  4. Scroll down to “Cockpit Tool Tips”.
  5. Turn it off (click left or right arrow).
  6. Be sure to select “F11 APPLY AND SAVE” at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Click “ESC GO BACK”.
  8. Click “ESC RESUME”.

Note:

  1. I see it on the cockpit but don’t know if it impacts anything else.
  2. You do loose the ability to move the mouse over a button/dial and
    see what state it is in (“Turn NAV mode ON” or “Turn NAV mode OFF”)
  3. You wont see “(Inop.)” on buttons and dials anymore.

There is also a nice mod from this thread which reduces how visible they are, if anyone wants to just make them a bit more transparent. [UIMOD] I want to introduce my mods to you

Note: They are actually disabled by this mod, but shown when you hold alt and hover, along with the transparent aspect :wink:
