Hi,
Does anybody know how to eliminate micro stuttering in the sim?
The sim currently is running around 35-47 fps for me with settings on high and ultra. The sim runs about 97% smooth but every once in a while i get some micro stutters. Again, it runs pretty good, but those micro stutters are annoying.
I have multiplayer and AI traffic off as well.
My internet speed is about 300 and i’m connected directly with ethernet cable.
Is there anything that I’m missing in the settings to make the sim run completely smooth or is it just the way it is in the sim?
Specs:
34 inch wide monitor 1440p
i9900k cpu
RTX 2080Ti
1TB SSD
32 RAM

which plane do you use. There are several bug whithin the Glascockpit planes that causes stutters.

Personally I find that the a320 flybywire mod is the worst culpret for causing stutters. I’ve removed that mod and everything seems smooth as silk again. Good luck.

Stutters are often caused by programs running in the background. Virus and malware checkers are common culprits. Try turning off anything unnecessary temporarily and see how it runs then

Yes, i too find that the default A320 runs smoother than the fbw A320. It’s a shame.
But I guess I’ll just have to deal with as the default is pretty bad.

Sorry i forgot to mention that.
It’s the FBW A320.

I’ll try turning off my virus defender and malware and see.
Thanks for the tip.
MSI Afterburner causes it on my machine.
So I guess the stutters are only with the FBW A320 mod?
Will need to check later when I get home.

there are reams of posts about micro stutters in MSFS on this board.
some folks attribute it to various aircraft and MFD’s (glass cockpit)
others to rolling cache, others to the AI traffic routines,
Some ascribe it to the home user’s configuration and hardware,
and others claim demons and gremlins are to blame.
I just blame Canada - it covers everything lol

I do notice that the default A320 runs smoothly with no stutters at all.
I just thought there was a work around to make the fbw A320 runs just as smooth.
I guess I’ll just have to wait until fbw optimizes the A320 performance.

Try changing the glass cockpit refresh rate to medium. I’m not sure if that’d be able to compensate for FBW’s issues, but might be worth a shot.

You could try downloading the developers’ version of the FBW A320 - it apparently contains a mod which gives a more sensible schedule for cockpit screen updates, which seems to work for me.

I don’t own the FBW A320, fly mostly without a glass cockpit, my virus scanner is turned off for FS, my system doesn’t have any unnecessary processes running in the background, I haven’t seen any demons or gremlins in my house yet either (thankfully). Nevertheless, I too have some micro stutters when flying.
I can 100% confirm the A320 FBW mod causes significant micro stutters, at least for me. This is a real shame because the default A320 is currently broken for me so my only other option is to fly with the mod. The default A320 always ran smooth for me with maybe the occasional micro stutter (mainly at the larger, handcrafted airports). I even had graphics settings at high and it would still run smooth. Currently, with the mod, I’m experiencing constant microstutters and I’ve decreased my settings to low-medium. This is even with the latest version of the mod which I read was supposed to fix the microstutters and increase FPS in the cockpit. Doesn’t look like it for me, but again, I find the mod definitely causes more frequent microstutters.
Exactly my problem currently. Until Asobo fixes the default A320, I’m stuck dealing with constant microstutters and decreased FPS.
Its definitely a shame, but I’m glad it’s not just me.

The FBW mod is free with an installer that let’s, you choose the stable or DEV version… Grab it. The DEV version is suppose to greatly reduce any stuttering

I just installed the latest dev. version and so far I ha ent noticed any difference since I’m still experiencing constant micro stutters. Latest custom version was the same.
You running any overlooking or hardware monitoring software?
