BUMP and lets hope SU12 has this issue FINALLY sorted…
If not then we are going to need someone to hack it out. I was hoping the Flow Pro addon would be able to address this but so far it seems hard coded. Anyone know if the entire UI can be disabled to bandaid this or something? Need to disable all draw calls from gamepad if possible. Or maybe hack it out with a transparent overlay. Anything at this point.
This is insanely dumb, can’t count how many times that stupid thing gets locked on a dial. I have a mouse and keyboard, don’t need a dot to show me the center of my screen..
Never have never will.
Someone please make a marketplace mod and I’ll gladly pay..
The white dot actually caused me to crash yesterday.
I was doing a loop in the F15 and while pulling back on the stick at the back of the loop the white dot appeared and was over a button, which for some reason negated any control input I applied causing me to fly straight into the ground like a fu%#ing dart!!!
So if that was the reason of the crash and you survived it, then i suppose you will be questioned by FAA, maybe they will adapt safety regulations so there will be a switch to hide this anomaly of white dot.
I logged this bug again as a new instance, seeing as there was a working workaround before the su12 beta, and it’s been logged, so hopefully the fix is forthcoming…
I’m absolutely distraught that sim update 12 made it so you can’t get rid of the dot anymore. It’s straight up game breaking. I’m on Xbox with a controller and I don’t think I can play this game anymore. It’s mind melting this is still a thing. Please Asobo, please.
I flagged it when the SU12 beta first dropped as a new instance of the old bug, and that report is now flagged as ‘bug logged.’
Hopefully that means there will be a fix soon.
They just hate controller users. That’s the only plausible explanation at this point.
Next time I’m sure they will do even more. The white dot will be permanent, no matter if not moving the analog stick, causing burn in to OLED displays.
Then, in another update, they will make it bigger and also permanent even when using a mouse.
Finally, in another future Sim Update, we will have just a huge white dot in our screens and they will then call this “Microsoft White Dot Simulator 2025”.
