Is there a way to make a two word call sign? Air Canada just comes out as an incorrectly pronounced aircanada. Spaces don’t work. Only found one question and no answer searching. Yeah I could just use “Canada” but the question remains.
Thanks

Yes I agree. They should give the option of spacing out words in callsigns
Living in Canada, and flying Air Canada a lot IRL and also in the sim, I would say that Air Canada is spoken correctly.
It is generally slurred together as one word.
This may be unplanned in the sim, but sounds like it should to this Canadian.
I do think it’s very funny though, that the ATC voice in a flight sim made by a French company totally butchers French place names.
eg, Le Havre = Ellyhavruh.
I’ve put a dash in between the words, like Air-Canada or Air-New Zealand.
And that works?
It seems to add a pause, for tail numbers at least.
Use a dash. It works for me.
Air-Canada
My call sign is Kingtiger and it pronounced ‘king tiger’ just perfectly. I don’t know why Haha
A dash will do the trick. I had this problem with Frontiers callsign. Hardly ideal, but better than nothing.
Did an underscore work?
You can do it, but you have to do it inside the Community Folder where you store the livery mod.
Inside the livery folder, keep going down and you’ll see Aircraft.cfg file. You can open this using notepad.
And look for the line which says:
atc_airline=""
All you need is to enter it with
atc_airline="Air Canada"
And it will use this callsign with the right name and upper/lower case including the spaces in between.
You have to make sure the ATC option when you start your flight is set to empty/blank, so that the sim will take the one from the livery file instead of the one you set in the ATC option.
fun fact: I’ve been actually spending days going through each of my livery collection, and standardising them with their correct ICAO airline code, callsign, etc. So that I no longer need the ATC option and keep changing them. Whenever I change my livery, the correct callsign will automatically follow.
Well heck if I would have known that, I would have cleared the atc box along time ago. This is the way it was done on older versions. Going through my downloaded liveries I noticed most of them have them correctly entered. Thanks so much. Asobo could have done a better job of implementing this.
