How To Read Performance Chart

Good afternoon forum,

I just printed out the charts / checklists that come with the Carenado CT182T and am wondering what a few abbriviations mean on the Performance Charts.

I know what RPM, KTAS and GPH mean but what is “MP” and then “%MCP”?

Thanks in advance.

Don’t have the aircraft but MP is almost certainly Manifold Pressure

MP would be Manifold Pressure and %MCP is % Maximum Continuous Power.

E.G.: At standard Temps, with a power setting of 2200 RPM at Sea Level, you should be able to set your Manifold Pressure to 22-inches and should expect to be operating at 56 % MCP, flying around 117 Kts, and using about 10.5 GPH.

Thank you! That makes complete sense!

I apprecaite it, I was sure it was something simple I just couldn’t find any examples that explained it.
