How to remove the White big dot

I am sure there must be any thead about this, but I can no find the right solution to solve the problem. I want to get rid of the big white dot that appears on the center of the screen when I move my view using my xbox one controller (PC Windows 10).
I really would like to see the dot only IF I move the mouse, not the view using the controller. And even using the mouse, the dot is so big.

I wonder if this “old” thread is of use?

I made several little QOL mods and I’ve tried to get rid of this annoying white dot for hours to not avail.

I don’t give up but it seems either very well hidden or simply hardcoded.

I really do not understand how this happen. Specially when there are people complains from time ago (so this is not an miskate). Period.

press d-pad up or down if you are using an xbox controller and it disappears again.

Hitting any of the D-pad buttons will remove the dot, but you will have to reactivate Cursor mode again if you need to click anything in the cockpit.

OK but dpad up/down changes the flaps position, left for parking brakes and right landing gear so this is not really a solution

There’s no problem using those buttons to clear the dot. Press the Up button whenever your flaps are up. Or press the Left button once or twice while flying (you don’t need Parking Brakes in the air).

Or, do what I do and re-map the Left/Right buttons as Left/Right brakes while moving the landing gear and parking brakes to a keyboard. Again, pressing brakes while in flight aren’t going to upset anything.

That is not an acceptable solution. This sim has A LOT of keys and I take advantage of every button of my xbox controller to do different things. I just don’t want to see the dot when I do not need it. Everytime I reset my view (I pan my view with the right stick), the dot appears and I have to do something to put it away.

I remove all FS 2020 bindings and use the utility “xpadder” to create a much more intuitive way to bind keys to buttons, and with the possibilty to use shift buttons to create different functions to the rest ot the buttons.

In my opinion, the way this sim manages keys is a mess, and the protocol to change any binding is a pain. That is why I prefer to remove every controller button, and assing the default keys to the buttons using xpadder (externally to the sim). I can test or make any change easily, just alt-tab.

But that is another thing. Here in this thread we talk about the white dot. And I think pressing a button to remove it every time it shows up (without my desire) is a way, but not the correct solution.

This is how I removed the annoying white dot. Stopped using a Xbox controller, and return it for a refund.
