How to request a refund?

After much trying it seems the sim is completely overwhelmed and who knows how long this will continue. I’ve requested a refund and will review performance over the next months. The process says 72 hrs but was instantly refunded.

Request a refund for digital games | Xbox Support

Hi guys!

I got the premium deluxe yesterday but this “stream the game” thing isnt for me. Can anyone tell me where/how can I request a refund?

PD, a bit of feedback for the devs: Dont tell me that my bandwidth is low… YOUR bandwidth is low, not mine.

Edit: Just forgot to say, I got the ms store version

Your order page on the store should have details. If not go here Xbox Support

Thanks a lot @re1axinmood for your help.

And good luck guys with this thing.

Yepp, and for anyone else with 10+ hours of game play (which was loading screen play) WILL be refunded via steam. They have changed their policy as an exception here, due to the fact that Asobo have clearly dropped the ball.

Even if you have 25+ hours on steam, request that refund, they will work with you.

Then, in 6 months or a year, we can buy an Asobo product which will be fully vetted and reviewed, and by real people, not those shill boot lickers who call themselves youtube influencers. My god, the name says it all (influencer), and people still tune in, and still want to be influenced. The only entity that could influence me is god or my dog, and sometimes my wife, but no one else, especially not some professional boobtuber.

My god my venting is peaking again. I also dont want people being gaslighted and short changed, so if you are not happy, grab your money back, and feed your kids, or dog, or self. My money is not sitting in Microsoft bank accounts making interest, no chance, not after this debacle.

Off to play 2020 now. Its glorious, and i have found a new-found appreciation to it. Stunning.

I did the same. I requested a refund and was given it almost instantly. After three days of absolute frustration, this was a pleasant surprise.

I don’t have an option to request the refund through my Microsoft account via Order History, why? It was pre-ordered on September 19 and I have yet to be able to even load a flight, 6 days into release. I want my $200 back. How do I get it?

You have to go to your Xbox account and your order history there.

Thank you, I’m good to go.

I have not yet bought FS2024, but I would like to. However, I do have concerns over whether it will run properly on my PC. When I get it, I will buy from the MS Store because that’s where my FS2020 is so the addons from the marketplace will carry over.
However, if I find it runs pathetically because my PC just can’t hack it, what are the parameters within which I can request a refund?

Do it the safe way: get 1 month gamepass, test it

That is an idea I suppose.

Hi @GoSammy1971
Have a look at this webpage:
Returning items you bought from Microsoft for exchange or refund - Microsoft Support

I have seen that page. It states that digital downloads are not refundable. Yet I have seen posts on this forum claiming to have got a refund for FS2024 purchased from the Microsoft Store. This is why I am seeking clarification in this thread - because all the info I find is contradictory.

Are we sure that the add-ons from MSFS20 will not carry over if you buy it through Steam?

Because I assume that you will still have to connect MSFS24 to your Microsoft account, so my guess is that everything may carry over as it has been linked to your MS account and not Steam account.

I was under the impression that the store is the same between Steam and MS versions since you can’t seem to play without a Microsoft account, but to be confirmed?

That way you could simply buy it through Steam and enjoy the guaranteed 2 hours refund they offer.

I got a refund for FS24 from the store many weeks after preorder but only about a week after launch.

This is the page that you are looking for, which relates directly to games and has the guidelines/limits for refunds: Xbox Support

I am continually getting this “low bandwidth” error. My Laptop and Internet meet all the required specifications.
How do I get a refund from MS ?.
MSFS 2024 is not fit for purpose. It is so slow as to be unplayable. Please advise.
