HPG H145 Helicopter Base Pack & Action Pack Expansion | Hype Performance Group - Developer Updates & Community Discussion

When is the H145 coming to the MSFS 2020 Market Place? :grinning:

Unfortunately we have no ETA at all at this time.

We first need to get the product to 1.0 release, then go through the submission process with Asobo and we are expecting a bit of back and forth feedback before it meets their standards for release since weā€™ve done so many creative things.

Thanks for the update! :grinning:

Background

The HPG H145 remains the perfect aircraft to tour the full world scenery in Microsoft Flight Simulator or to execute your missions with precision. You can hand fly or employ the unique auto-flight control system features to spend more time focusing on the job (or sightseeing!) and less time on managing the aircraft. This product is an artistic rendition of the real H145, developed from the flight manuals and pilot feedback.

Designed to deliver excellent performance throughout the flight envelope, The H145 is the latest member of its 4-ton-class twin-engine rotorcraft product range ā€“ with designed-in mission capability and flexibility, especially in high and hot operating conditions. Compact in size, this helicopterā€™s small footprint and large, flexible cabin make it the aircraft of choice for a variety of civil or military missions. The best-selling H145 family (BK117, EC145 and H145) has more than 1,350 helicopters in service around the world and has clocked more than 5.5 million flight hours.

Interesting, what is the expected time line for the variant releases? I assume they will be spread out during the early access period.

This looks utterly awesome. Canā€™t wait. This is exactly the sort of thing I hoped the sim would become capable of. Really glad you guys have managed to do it.

Yes, we expect to have the HEMS variant released first before the end of April.

Then similar to the original H145 base pack we will continue work on each variant and release over time while also making refinements to the H145 fleet overall.

Will there be a police version?

No police variant, with the configuration options we will have + liveries we think most users will be able to use the Firefighting variant for police roleplaying.

Just purchased the H145 base pack. Great stuff already despite being in beta. One question though regarding the MFD refresh rate especially of the compass rose (and the speed tape). Right now it is kind of low (glass cockpit refresh rate setting in msfs is on max). Are there plans to get them faster - hence closer to RL - in the future? Or is there an option somewhere for that in the settings of the heli? Thanks!

Our lead developer is investigating this, itā€™s not an issue we or other users have noted before.

Thanks! I just checked the videos on your channel. The first one when you can observe this is the Weapons test & release video. Same in the beta#10 update review.

The Vegas VIP video shows a way more fluid MFD.

Thanks for looking into this.

No regrets here. I havenā€™t flown anything else since. Canā€™t get enough! :100: :+1:

Does anybody know how to switch the GTN750 from the PMS to the TDS unit, if you have both of them installed? Iā€™d rather use my TDS, but so far I was unable to figure out how to do so. Unfortunately the manual did not point me in the right direction.

Any help is much appreciated.

Are the control configurations for the 145 the same as the 135? Thanks!

I remember when I first started with the 135, I relied a lot on the tablet for controlling the heli. With the 145, they instruct you how to apply the keyboard and control bindings to be more realistic. I no longer rely on the tablet, but actually use the controls and is much more stable especially in its hover mode.

I have not tried it myself, but there is a tools folder in the download that contains a zip for the TDS 750.

The basic control configurations are the same (cyclic, collective). But there are a lot more key bindings available for the H145, and there is a config tool in the download the enables you to map nearly every function to a sim binding.

We are pleased to announce that version 0.9 is now available!

(Proceed to the H145 Download Center for downloads)

Thanks for the update!
Regarding the MFD refresh rate issue I mentioned earlier (it seems it was introduced with the beta 10 update)ā€¦ will it be acknowledged as a bug? I havenā€™t seen anything about it in the release notes.
Iā€™d appreciate some words on it as itā€™s kind of a big deal. On the other hand since it was beautifully fluid before beta 10 Iā€™m sure we will see it fixed soon.

All in all great add-on, keep up the good work!
