Hi, I had about 80-90 hours in-game but problems started since the last week. I suddenly could not start the game. When I clicked on the game icon, it always opened the Microsoft store instead of the game.
Then, I uninstalled the game but I can not install it back again. Download is pending at 0%.
I tried reinstalling the Microsoft store, gaming services, Xbox app, nothing helped. And I have the same problem with Forza Horizon 5.
Can someone give me advice, please?
I’m screwed as well. I got the Steam version, and i won’t get past splash screen.

Small update, an expert from Xbox support indicated to me that there was already this problem in the past, and this update (KB5004476) was supposed to solve it, but that means the problem still exists.
its a completly different issue as that the OP reported. And we can not help if you not give more detailed info…
@Mariangello , I thought we have existing topics about that kind of issue and so far I member, some users fixed that with reinstalling game-services ( powershell, also see MSFS FAQ ) … I done a quick search in forum and one example result:

To be sure: you have Game-Pass (subscription) version ?
I don’t have Game Pass, but I bought the game at 25.8. 2020 in the Microsoft Store.
hmmmm… but so far I remember , was these former issue related to Game-Pass users only
So, probably not just them, but before this I didn’t reinstall the game at all. But as I say, suddenly I couldn’t start the game and it only opened the store.

Just now when I started MSFS, it sort of updated itself and downloaded LOWI, which I had uninstalled because I use a payware scenery. It also downloaded some of those ugly Boeing 748 FSX style liveries, which I do not want.
Now MSFS is stuck during startup at this screen:
After several minutes MSFS continued to start but now
ALL MY JOYSTICK, PEDAL and YOKE SETTINGFS ARE GONE!!!
Everything has been rest to default!
I have spent an aweful lot of time to create joystick settings for my long list of default and addon aircraft. All that work has just now been wiped out!

Hi,
The issue is that I thought MSFS would not start at all. It was frozen for about 15 minutes during start up.
That’s when I started the first part of this post up to and including the screenshot.

I know that it’s different issue. Empathy sent me here.
You can try when is freeze on loading to disconnect and reconnect you ethernet card in network settings after reconnect the game should continue loading.
If its loading it saves reinstallling.
I havent figure out what is causing the freezes but i think it has something to do with network settings.
