quick q: were the mediterranean islands of ibiza and Palma De Mallorca part of a World Update aka better DEM?
I’m really not sure but if they were, they didn’t do a great job.
I fly in Spain a lot. The Costa del Sol is incredibly well detailed — even down to one of my favourite pubs being pretty well modelled — however the Canaries and Balearics don’t seem to have the same level of detail. Sure, hotels in Palmanova/Magaluf are there, in the right places, but they’re just generic blocks. In Torremolinos, for example, I can fly VFR and identify almost every building because they look practically like they do in reality.

I think they were. Ibiza has pretty good photogrammetry at San Antonio.
I’ll have a fly there next time I’m on!
