Hi everyone,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
2025 is almost here and I can’t wait to see what comes in the world of flight simulation and in aviation as a whole.
I had a 3 hour layover in Charlotte airport and I found myself sitting in the Admirals Club just looking at PlaneFinder and FlightAware and clicking on random flights to see their flight paths and destinations. This brought an idea to me. What if we were able to do something like that but for FS2024?
This website or app would show you every single plane that was active in the sim. It would show the departure airport, arrival airport, flight route, duration of flight, and other things. You could even go a step further and show airport statics like how many simulator take off’s and landings occurred at that airport.
Obviously there could be some issues when it comes to taking the flight information from people who are not in the multiplayer game with all of the other sim pilots, so you could limit the map to just the multiplayer version.
This is just an idea. I just thought it would be cool for this to happen in the game. If there is already something like this please let me know.
Feel free to add on to this idea in comments. I’m going to add some screenshots for some ideas.
Enjoy the new year!
PS. These screenshots come from planefinder. If you have never used this app I would STRONGLY recommend using it over flightaware or any other flight tracking app.
