Just amazing. The first leg is a little bit sleepy but half way through the second it gets amazing. If you can muster 30 frames a second on ultra do it.
does the achievement count atm or is it broken?
I just tried doing the first leg and it won’t mark that leg as completed when I land. Also, it starts me in the air, which seems weird…
I think the patch broke something I had to restart the trip when the patch came out, luckily it was only the first leg. But to be honest I would redo the whole flight anyway.
Yea that start in the air thing seems really strange. Maybe start the xcub on the runway where it’s supposed to start. Close it, then start the Bush trip through the menu. There might be something strange in the location data of the xcub.
I think they all work now. I haven’t finished it though but according to the patch notes I think it said it was.
Yes, I completed it before the patch broke the completions on my other Bush Trips. Amazing. I hope we get a Missions/Bush Trips Editor…
@Tonybro nice screenshots! @Gattaca9S100 thanks for the trip tip
Hear hear!
IMO the leg leading over the glaciers of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field is the absolute highlight of all the bush trips we have so far, especially if you hand-fly low through the valleys.
When I tried to convey the beauty of FS2020 to a friend a couple of days ago, I sat her down beside me and flew this leg again. That evening she started reading about Patagonia and began planning a trip the next day.
Maybe MS should start cooperations with tourist boards all around the world.
“Hey, virtual pilot, you like what you see down there? Book a trip to the real thing at 10% off right now! Just click here!”
In step 2, the challenge asks to choose the shortest runway to land. However, the airport (S A W O) has only one runway (34/16)!
There is another runway a little further but it is another airport (SWAH)
Work is currently being done to reverse engineer how the original bush trips were made, so we can then all create our own bush trips.
Great I hope there are ways to actually land on undeveloped strips, riverbanks, mountain tops, etc…
Its SAWH Ushuaia´s international Airport. I live 10 blocks from that airport. did part of the bush trip IRL.
Would love to try a new bushtrip, unfortunately after 14h of flight time the latest patch broke my running Nevada trip and asobo didnt even care to acknowledge the issue of broken bushflights. So no thanks for now.
Yea, I flew that one and I understand the frustration. I think there is a way to fix things in a config file but I didn’t try
Most certainly agree enjoying all the legs plus the fact that the graphics seem quite amazing especially when compared to Google and Bing Maps. Just landed at Almirante Schroeders Airport even though Google said it was closed but there were guys waiting for me.
Not a real pilot but taking the sim seriously and flying as one I noticed that both the Zlin Savage and the the Crafter X cubs seem to have very powerful engines making them easier to fly in the mountains compared to the old cub of FSX. Hope the Crafter X cub is really so awesome in real life.
Really enjoyed the Sierra legs but it is really too bad that I cannot get past the Hawthorne airport as the achievements stop no matter what I tried whether taking off and landing or just taxing around and restarting.
Wish there was some kind of fix as the scenery is also really wonderful and easily following when using Google/Bing maps. I use the maps since if I was really making the journey it may be always best to get an idea where one is going for situational awareness instead of just going by the notes as it is difficult to look around while flying and read the notes.
Anyway just my comments and thoughts.
Install Little Navmap, it’s a great flight planner. Has all the navaids and airports. To me it’s kinda silly to have a glass panel in a plane and not be able to use it. If they want to force Bush trips like that they should force planes with steam gauges.
Great bush trip with amazing scenery, but…maybe I’m nitpicky (probably so), but the spelling and grammar in the bush trips NAVLOG leave a lot to be desired. I’m flying in a “plane”… a featureless flat prairie is a “plain”. North West should be northwest. Don’t tell me that “just ahead is an airstrip you can land at.” (ending a sentence with a preposition). One leg included the phrasing, “Head North once more and hook your way around the large mountain in the distance, before making your way to the North of Isla Wickam before flying North West across the water.” What???
Worked for me, just got the Anemoi achievement a couple of days ago.
the screenshots look like FS2000. Especially the second one looks like a mobile phone game.
