ISSUE DESCRIPTION
The Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) at some airports appears to be misaligned.
In that case the airport is VCBI (Colombo, Sri Lanka), runway 04 (ILSZ04), but I saw this at LBBG (Burgas, Bulgaria), and a few other airports.
The airplane doesn’t matter - it happens on each one (but in that case is Airbus A320neo).
The navigation data is also up-to-date (22JAN-19FEB) - today is 09 Feb 2026.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Occurs consistently at the affected airports.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
-
Fly to an airport where the issue is present (e.g. VCBI)
-
Configure ILS approach
-
Let the autopilot follow the ILS (or do it manually, following the Flight Director and the Landing System guidance)
MEDIA
-
Autopilot On
-
I turned the AP Off and visually aligned with the runway (look at the flight director, and the landing system - it guides me to the left where the misaligned ILS is)
-
Navigation data is updated
