Make sure you are using the NAV function correctly. It doesn’t work exactly like the airbus. I have no trouble using NAV on the CRJ.
Did you read the manual?

Look for any discontinuities in your plan, using the Legs screen. NAV works fine in the CRJ. I use it on every flight.
I have read some, not all mostly on FMS function. I have also watch You Tube videos (some good). So, I will continue research to get it working for me. thanks
I try to get the discontinuities out. But who knows, I’ll double check. thanks.
There is a detailed tutorial made by one of the developers of the CRJ that is referenced in the manual. That’s probably the best one to use.
Hello gentlemen,
Since this last update Feb 1st, 2022, I´m unable to load the plan via <SEC FPLN <ROUTE MENU <PILOT ROUTE LIST, etc…, I was loading files from Simbrief and LittleNavmap with no issues, but now everytime a load a new flightplan I have the “Route Loaded” msg, but DEP ARR and legs, still emply.
Anyone else?
Thanks for any support
I was going to write this, but I think you have hit the issue I was going to warn about.
Make SURE you do not have any flight plans over 8 Characters long.
Example:
EGSSLIME = OK
EGSSLIME01 = BAD
If you have one file, or maybe flightplan over 8 characters it messes up the whole FMS.
Hi, thanks for the tip. I´ll give it a try.
Cool I hope it works out for you. If not aside from obviously asking Aerosoft hopefully someone on here can help you.
I had exactly the same issue and it was because my flight plan was over 8 chars
I recommend downloading simbreif downloader.
Set up the paths in it and that will make life better for you as it knows the quirks of most add-ons flight plan wise.
Hi again. Yes I´m using Simbrief Downloader saving to the proper folder. Which was working fine.
I´m now flying again with no issues and flightplan was loaded succefully via FMS. “8 charaters”
Nevertheless I went to the AES flightplan folder and noticed that most of my planes are 8 charaters, a part form one that had a long name. I deleted only that one. Lets see how it goes further on.
Thanks again
After a long time, I would fly again with my CRJ but I have the same problem here. Folder, format and number of characters are fine. Does anyone find a solution? Thx
The newly updated CRJ now supports importing directly from Simbrief.
