Description of the issue:

We only get helicopter SAR- Hoist missions in water areas. We don’t get such missions in mountainous areas, which is a big mistake.

Same…same same same… all those cinematic shots of the heli lifting someone off a mountain or near that huge ship in the loading intro are bs lol I guess most of them are bs tbh

Ive been having the same problem but then when you locate the target out at sea and lower the winch guy he simply doesnt retrieve the target. Ive hovered over targets for over 15 mins and nothing. Even whilst reapproaching the target. Incredibly frustrating and wasting my time.

And we should also get (current non-hoist) SAR missions in non mountain areas. I have uncovered a lot of area in Africa, but there isn’t a single SAR mission anywhere.

There should be SAR missions basically anywhere on earth in rural locations, not just in few high mountain regions.

I thought the same thing and it’s so ridiculous to think but you literally have to hit the target with the guy as he’s going down for him to retrieve…beyond stupid

Also when they want you to land close to the target and it’s squarely in the middle of an endless forest lol I just don’t get it

I know but even when you have the guy physically sit in the raft it wont even work for me sometimes. Its so incredibly frustrating.

Helicopter SAR - hoist mission is not available on land. There are no SAR - hoist missions in rocky, mountainous areas. There have only been water missions in the past 1 month.

I did some more testing. I never encountered a helicopter SAR-HOIST mission on land. All missions take place at sea. Very annoying. I would be happy if the bug was fixed.

You can see in the intro that there are SAR-HOIST missions on land, in mountainous areas, and in forested areas.

Yeah in the sar missions that are non hoist they want you to try and land in those tree covered areas… should be able to use the hoist whenever it is necessary I don’t get all the compartmentalizing in the missions especially not being able to use aircraft I own for more than 1 very specific purpose.

I would like to add another comment to prove that there are no land helicopter SAR-HOIST missions.

Today I received 43 helicopter SAR-RESCUE missions. Unfortunately, there are no land SAR-HOIST missions out of the 43 new missions.

The AI ​​does not generate land helicopter SAR-HOIST missions. Please, the development team, fix this!

We can clearly say that there is no land SAR Rescue Hoist mission. There has been no land Hoist mission in two months. The error has not been logged yet, I would like to request that it be logged and fixed.

In the last 4 months I have only received SAR-RESCUE HOIST missions in water areas. There are no HOIST missions in land areas at all. Please fix the error!

During SU2 Beta testing, the system still does not generate land SAR-HOIST missions. We are constantly receiving water missions. Please expand the HOIST mission to land areas, hills, mountains.

How can one successfully complete a hoist rescue mission over water? The difficulty I’m facing is how to stably hover over the rescue site. There is no visual reference. In sling loading missions one can open a view port in the cockpit floor. But that doesn’t seem possible in the H125 used for sea hoist rescue missions. So I am finding myself having to hover on the open sea without any visual reference.

With the way the hoist missions over water idk how it would even look over land without it making the stupidity of it glaringly obvious… would you have to hit the person your trying to rescue or their tent directly with the person on the hoist like you have to in the water missions?
If you didn’t would the guy just lay on the ground and not move like in the water? Lol
