With the beta being released to all tomorrow hopefully fixes the CTD problem we all are having
Hi @phobos8287 have you try to disable any other third party add-on? For me I follow your suggestion by removing the NXi but the F35 still CTD to me. Then I checked again and I have FSUIPC7, FSRealistic running in the background. I disable this two and F35 has been stable.
Also, I disable “tsi-ServiceBuddies-v0.1” this mod that I have. This mod is to replace the default pilot avatar for the F-18 Super Hornet. I noticed that the F35 have its own pilot avatar.
So far all is stable now. Hopefully. Will update if the F35 crash again or not.
I haven’t tried with an empty community folder, however others have said they still get crashes in that scenario. I wound up encountering a CTD last night even with the NXi removed, so that’s probably not the issue as I had proposed. Given the amount of people getting CTDs I would say it’s an issue with the plane interacting with the sim, and something that the devs will have to sort out. With that, I’m done putting energy into troubleshooting this and will instead spend my time with other stable addons.
I’m with you on this. I’ve spent the last 3 days trying to sort it out with no luck. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve started the simulator just to have it crash with this plane. I’ve flown the F16 today for a couplke of hours with no problems at all.
Yeah, same I’m gonna go back to flying the DC-6 until it’s properly working
i flight with the F35 since it’s sold, and during this time i had just 2 ctd. Yesterday i flight 4 hours and no ctd.
i use essentially on F35b. Not a lot of addon in community folder.
Personnaly m’y biggest problem is: no flight plan to follow inside the Mfd. Or i don’t know how to use it😉

New mod coming VERY soon for the F-35 which makes it possible to see the speed brake status in the ICAWS display. Also, you get both visual and sound warnings if the speed brakes are activated when the engine RPM is above 80%! Very nice indeed to avoid taking off with the speed brakes active.
I’m afraid I have to report CTDs as well. In several cases I didn’t even get the engines warmed up before the sim crashed. Normally I am CTD-free and I also had no mods installed.
And it has been released!
F-35 MFD Improvement MOD (on flightsim . to)
Thanks …how to activate the speed brake at the F35 - or is this also automated ?
I can only speak for myself regarding how to activate the speed brake/spoilers. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and the button is default set to be on top of the joystick (bottom left of the top of the joystick).
Haven’t installed my production copy yet, but in the Beta, IFTE did make every basic control, even in the B, bindable to common keys - so with few exceptions, like removing the ejection seat pins, flipping the IPP switches, etc., you should be able assign all flight essential controls to a hardware switch, key, hat etc.
It seems that sim update to 1.21.18.0 is available.
Could someone update and test again?
I hope it solves the CTDs.
I’m loading it up now after updating. I’ll report back what happens
No, unfortunately not.
my throttle stop working after this update , i am alone with this issue ? (thrustmaster t.flight x set)
ok solved by binding it to throttle 1 as reverse axis ,
Same here, will try your fix, but still hope it will get fixed.
Was your throttle working in other planes?
The throttle here isn’t working in a couple of planes (Bede and Aerolite 103) but seems to be working fine in other planes.
