IndiaFoxtEcho MB339 ctd

Anyone getting ctds when mouse clicking on the Master Arm switch?
Its happened to me twice recently and I can’t figure out why.
Everything else working perfectly.

I have the problem when i put the landing gear up it wont go back down, the landing gear knob moves down but gear doesnt.

I think they have the gear limiting speed set too low. The flight manual says 175kts, which used to be true on an earlier version, the latest update seems to have it limited to 145, like the landing flaps.

If you put the gear lever down faster than 145 the gear won’t actually go down until you slow to less than 145.

Good day

The CTD on the Master Arm is caused by the fact that the Master Arm Switch code contains a Tooltip Text declaration which used to work in previous versions of MSFS and does not work anymore in recent updates. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully, given that the Master Arm has no function in-game, the annoyance is limited. We will fix that in future updates, or maybe it will be fixed automatically in future MSFS updates if the XML parsing is changed again. We have reported the problem in the Third Party Forum.

As for the landing gear, currently the simulation is set with the following values:

Maximum gear retraction speed is set to 150 Kts

Gear damaging speed is set to 165 kts

Therefore, if the gear is out when the airspeed is above 165 kts it may get damaged and may not operate correctly. In some cases it is possible to operate it with the Landing Gear Emergency Extension lever.

The manual states that the gear can be extended below 175 kts. Is this wrong?

Well… it depends on how you see things. The manual procedure comes straight from the real world aircraft manual. The way I see it, the manual is “correct” (if by “correct” we mean “like in the real world”) and our simulation is wrong and I apologize for that.
As per the previous comment, currently the sim is set up so that 150 kts is the safe speed to extend the gear.

Again, my apologies for the inconvenience.

Hey I just want to say thanks – the MB 339 mod is hands down the best aircraft mod I’ve got for MSFS yet, and well worth the money! It fills a niche between slow but maneuverable prop planes and fast but bus-like passenger planes. The 1970s style avionics take some getting used to, but with the “mid-life update” (1980s? :D) it’s even got basic GPS so integrates with the simulator’s flight plan once you figure out how it works.

Literally the only troubles I’ve had are the crashing master arm button and the landing gear, and I can work around the first by not touching it and the second by raising/lowering my gear more conservatively with the tips here.

Thanks, and looking forward to future updates and whatever planes y’all work on next!

It’s killing me how long it is taking asobo to introduce it to the marketplace, considering the waste they let slide through in the beginning with no engine sounds on start up (kitfox). Update today and thought i would see it… disappointed again :man_facepalming:

Yes, same issue for me, CTD when cliking on Master Arm Switch !

There is a hotfix on facebook by the dev:

The post says: copy-paste the files in the PAN model folder only.
Haven´t tried it yet. Good luck.
