iniBuilds A300 series Aircraft

As a350 lands in Q1, I am curious on how has others experience been with the A300 series in terms of

  • How close is it to ones like PMDG or Fenix in quality
  • How is the performance in terms of how heavy is it on the system
  • What is the frequency of updates

I really enjoy the A300. I’d say it’s not quite as polished as the Fenix or PMDG 737s/777s but it’s certainly in a similar ballpark. It looks and sounds gorgeous, and performance I find very good (although I do have a very high-spec system). I first had it on Xbox (Series X) and it was fine on that platform, so I’m assuming it’s always been pretty easy on hardware.

There is an option to download SD rather than HD textures, which is a good feature for those with lesser-equipped machines.

As for updates, Ini are one of the best devs for keeping their products up-to-date.

The A300 is really my favorite aircraft, my “to go” airliner (FS2020). I have PMDG 777 and 737 wich are perfects of course but I really love the “old school panel” of the A300.
I agree it looks and sounds really good, perfs are good (a litlle less than PMDG maybe, on PC), systems are depth and I don’t have any bug with it (I think, i’m not IRL pilot).
The aircraft is kept up to date for 2020 and 2024 as far as I can see (I don’t have 2024).
I would say it’s nearly as good as PMDG, IMHO. I really love this beautiful old plane !

I can’t use Inibuilds aircraft because of WASM crashes - avionics just freeze, they are aware of the problem but there is no solution at the moment.

I have this issue with the default A310… But never had it on the A300 !

I was about to buy the a300 because I loved the a310 but reading the inibuild forums I saw people having this problem on the a300 as well

If I remember correctly from DevSupport, Asobo has found out the issue, sent out a fix, but it’s not patched into the SIM yet

Oh really? They mentioned it in a developer stream ages ago, one of the last msfs 2020 SU’s mentioned a WASM stability improvement but planes are still affected by it in msfs2024 - all inibuilds planes and the ATR

Thanks all! This is helpful. I understand PMDG and Fenix are a tad ahead but this is reasonably good as well.

I am on xbox serie X.
I like the A310 and always thought that it doesn’t worth buying the A300 as it is similar.
Plus it doesn’t have a cabin either (on xbox).
But still looks good.

Which one do you prefer between A300 A310 and A320 V2 (all from inibuilds) in terms of performance for those on xbox ?

Thanks.

On 2020 I preferred the a310 as it didn’t give me as many screen blackouts. I admit I haven’t flown it on 2024 very much

I see on the internet that with the last uptades it runs well now.
I don’t know if other xbox serie X users can tell me.

Imho A300 is much better than A310. Also A300 is their “full” airplane addon and that means it gets more love than those contracted by Microsoft. I also think it’s the best optimised IniBuilds aircraft at the moment. I can’t tell on Xbox though, but I would think it should be similar to how they differ on PC.

Thanks for the answer.

A300 is by far my favorite freighter on Xbox. More than the 777 honestly. The a300 is a full package of looks, feel, sound, flight controls…

Anyone know when the a300 “premium” will be available for MSFS 2024?

Thank you.
A lot of people say that the a300 is not fps friendly on xbox serie x.
What do you think?
Thanks.

I have hundreds of hours on it with little to no FPS issues. The 777 is really the only plane I have FPS issues with and it is mild. But having been on these forums for four years now I know one person’s experience can be completely different than another’s…even on Xbox.

But the a300 is my second favorite airliner/freighter behind the PMDG 737. So much so I’m willing to pay the additional $30 to get the “premium” version for 2024.

Ok thank you.
The premium version on 2024 is the cabin on xbox ?
