In case anyone wants to watch the unedited version before tomorrow here’s a link to todays stream.
Bet there’ll be lots of community made liveries in addition to the ones off iniManager-maybe someone in the community will make an Air Caraibes livery (they operate the A350-1000 by the way) would be so perfect for ops out of SLH Sim Designs’ Cayenne – Félix Eboué Airport SOCA.
The introduction of the A350 from inbuilds is amazing. Can’t wait to see more, and it was nice to hear and see all the work that went into it. Great job. Well worth it.
Have been doing some research on this via Flightradar24, in anticipation of the release. Below are my current top ten short(ish) real-world routes, with some comments on whether the relevant airports are available in 2024 as well. You can thank me later (ie on 1 March or so…). Feel free to add, maybe in the same format, and perhaps we can also open a dedicated thread later on.
Ethiopian* ETH737 LSZH-LIMC 0:40
The default Zurich (by Gaya I believe) looks good but apparently has missing taxiways info that could screw up BATC - there are other, paid options. A 2024 version of Aerosoft’s ho-hum Milan is coming soon, hopefully a bit better than the initial release.
Singapore* SIA125 WMKK-WSSS 0:45
The Secret Studio have done a serviceable Kuala Lumpur, and the same applies to Cloudsurf’s Changi. Both work in 2024. I’ve heard an overhauled WSSS is in the works.
Qatar* QTR1007 OMDB-OTHH 0:50
Ini’s new dedicated 2024 Dubai is very nice, MXI’s old Doha less so for the price. Given the latter’s blurry ground textures etc maybe only pick it up when it is on sale.
Lufthansa* LH2070 (call sign DLH8WE) EDDM-EDDH 1:05
Simwings Munich is great and can be used in 2024 while not yet officially approved, and their Hamburg is marked compatible already.
Delta* DAL1467 KDTW-KATL 1:30
Ini have 2024-approved their decent Detroit, and a promising-looking Atlanta is coming soon from Orbx (the default is pretty bad, I think).
Fiji FJ411 NFFN-NZAA 2:45
Both Ini’s Nadi and Flightbeam’s Auckland are good to go in 2024, and very nice.
China Airlines CAL053 YBBN-NZAA 2:55
Brisbane is Ini’s first 2024-only airport, and looks great despite the lack of an interior for the domestic terminal (which is of course not an issue for this flight).
Fiji FJI910 YSSY-NFFN 3:40
Sydney by FlyTampa can be used with no problems in 2024 AFAIK, and is still one of the better early releases for the old sim.
China CAL754 WSSS-RCTP 4:10
Not sure whether ACO have or will update(d) Taipei, because it is a Marketplace exclusive I believe. So only available at the moment if you already owned it in 2020, I guess? There it was good without necessarily being great.
Emirates* UAE24 EGPH-OMDB 6:40
Pyreegue’s Edinburgh is among my absolute favourites, and I’m really happy that it and Ini’s Dubai are available for this route. Might actually make me sit out the six hours-plus! If you are concerned about frame rates and such due the A350 being quite complex: Pyreegue are among the best for using appropriate LOD strategies to keep stutters at bay - at least on my PC.
Note: an asterisk after the airline’s name means that this is a livery already shown off by Ini during their previews etc. Pretty sure the rest won’t be far behind.
Don’t forget the A350-900 routes of Japan Airlines!
JL 332: Fukuoka (■■■) - Tokyo 1:05
JL329: Tokyo (HND) - Fukuoka (■■■) 1:44
JL 908: Okinawa (OKA) - Tokyo [HND) 1:50
JL 907: Tokyo [HND) - Okinawa (OKA) 2:26
JL 526: Sapporo (CTS) - Tokyo (HND) 1:26
JL 525: Tokyo (HND) - Sapporo (CTS) 1:16
JL 2081: Osaka (ITM) - Okinawa (OKA) 2:00
JL 2088 Okinawa (OKA) - Osaka (ITM) 1:45
New chart that explains all the features between both sims. Unfortunate that the Xbox versions don’t have ANF airport navigation but I expected there to be no cabins either since the a300 doesn’t. Hope that it isn’t too much of a downside for those who buy it on Xbox marketplace. At least there’s navigraph nav data updates.
Has anybody seen this aircraft running on an actual Xbox or are these just planned features? I’m still skeptical about the perfomance on console, as well as how the simulator would look when loading this memory-heavy vehicle.
I don’t know much about ANF, but isn’t it mostly for ground movement/taxiing? If that’s the case, it’s more of a nice to have anyway (in my uneducated and biased opinion ) , but shouldn’t be too much of a dealbreaker for us XBox users anyway. The navigraph/simbrief flight plans are huge for us since we couldn’t use them for the longest until last year in 2020.
Yeah that’s the airport map that zooms in when you’re taxing around and how you select a BTV exit on your approach. The only difference is Xbox user will have to manually enter the BTV exit if they wanna use it . I’m guessing they wanted to include it but opted not to because of performance.
Not a single Finnair Livery considering they have 20 active 350s is dissappointing. I mean Delta doesn’t even fly one. Well, I guess i have to wait until someone talented makes one for .to.
Fiji would have been nice too.
it’s entirely possible they’ll continue to add liveries to the IniManager. That’s what they did with their A300 and FS2024 airliners.
Speaking of DAL, I’m surprised they didn’t do the new centenary livery. But one of the pro painters will no doubt fill in any gaps.
I’m surprised their first batch of DAL liveries are for FS2024 only, and not also FS2020. That seems like an odd choice.
Then they’ve been added in the last day or so. They were not there initially.
Yes, but you made a comment here regarding that about 8 minutes ago. So before you make a statement check the info because it might cause confusion to other people or influence their decision.
As someone who is intensely passionate about and obsessed with the sound of airplane engines, I am very optimistic that the development team is putting all its effort into delivering the best and most accurate engine sound for this particular and unique aircraft. However, I am a bit concerned that it may not meet expectations, especially at lower RPMs.
The audio quality we are currently experiencing in the Inibuild fleet of Airbus aircraft is truly nothing short of disastrous, significantly impacting the immersion experience. I hope this will be improved soon, although it may not see major changes and might only get slightly better.
Except, unless you are an actual Pilot. The sounds you hear in the Cabin are not the same the Pilot hears. From the streams we had actual type rated Pilots talk about how good the sounds are, good enough for me. I want accurate sounds, not “cool”. Same goes for using YT-videos from justplanes etc. YT != actual sound. 787 is a good example that i have personal experience from. I was shocked how quiet that cockpit was. It’s almost like the Plane was stationary. I am sure someone would complain about too low sounds in the sim :).
Well I am sure someone at .to will post Finnair sooner or later. 9 out of 10 cases the best Livery designers are on .to anyway.
I guess this is ok for xbox-users.
It seems there are some live streams scheduled for VATSIM 28/2 so this is when we can probably expect the release. Wallet is ready to go.
