iniBuilds Airbus A300 for MSFS

Lol, I had the same happen to me, except I hit the pushback button 3 or 4 times which spawned 3 or 4 tugs at once fighting to tow me.

Besides that and the other issues you mentioned. Ive had no major issues with the the A300 after about 10 hours with it

Thanks Icono, that’s what I was doing, I hoped there was a better way.

Inibuilds has now changed panel state save to load in there advertising. That fixed it for me I will stop moaning now. If you wish to continue your long haul flight the next day avoid . I can acheive this with 10 minutes config on ground then use flight control replay to reposition . Release from replay pray the aircraft stays stable and does not plunge to the ground . Thank you inibuilds for building such a useful add on .

I still can’t get any fuel into this bird. I enter fuel into the Block Fuel box in the EFB but as soon as I select Add to Aircraft it zeros out. Calling for fuel truck has not effect.
Trying to adjust fuel in the Task Bar has no effect. I’m sure it’s something simple but I’m stumped.
Any help appreciated.

Nmd, figured it out.

What do you mean by active flight plan?

It doesn’t need you to create any flightplan in MSFS flight planner, and even if you create one, it can’t use that plan, so either you have to use simbrief or enter the plan manually in the cdu.

Now, you atleast need to set the citypair (src and dest airport) in the mcdu INIT A page, which will allow you to align the IRSs, which you also need to do, there is an option for instant alignment in the EFB if you are in a hurry. And I believe thats pretty much it to be able to fly the plane.

Ofcourse, LNAV and possibly PROF too won’t work without a flightplan, but you can use Heading modes (hold and select) for lateral navigation and SPD(Lvl change) and VS mode for vertical guidance. Also you can set the speed window and use autothrottle to manage speed.

And if you want to use VOR navigation, then there are a few more things you can do, disable auto tune in MCDU, then tune the nav radios and course pointers manually, Also, change the flight director mode to VOR. In this mode, you should be able to use lnav mode as well which will follow VOR and course.

Thank you for the info and the good explanation

Hi, regarding FPS : A300 better than A310? Did devs optimize the plane?

No, it’s still one of the best looking planes in MSFS. You can try install low resolution textures pack available from inibuilds manager.

Edit: I was wrong. A300 is better than A310.

Yes, for me it performs much better than A310. I have those low textures installed though.

When starting the flight at the end of the runway is there a way to adjust the fuel load? I haven’t found a way to do it. Any adjustment I make in the Task Bar fuel load snaps back to 11%.
Thanks.

Just parked my A300 until the “falling from the sky” is fixed.

I haven’t had that happen since v1.0.6. Is it still happening?

Here is how you adjust fuel load sitting at end of runway:

Turn on APU and APU bleed, check APU Gen on.
Turn off both engines.
In EFB adjust fuel load as desired.
Wait until Red fueling light goes out.
Restart engines.
Voila’

I didn’t had any issues prior 1.0.6. Now it happened on the first flight after updating the addon.

Suggest you give it another try. Might have been a one off.

Yeah, maybe. It was a 7+ hours flight I did many times before and the bug only happened once.

Using panel states will be quicker I think. Not sure if panel state also modify the fuel quantity, in that case it may be problematic

I tried using Panel States, couldn’t make it work–not when starting flight at end of runway.

Did a sucessful flight with the A300-600R. A shorter one (under 3 hours).
