Inibuilds Airbus WASM crash

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: continuous WASM crashes with 2024 native Inibuilds airbuses. Everything in the cockpit freezes at some point during every flight. From the AP panel, FMS, PFDs. The plane continues to fly but all systems break, forcing you to have to quit back to the main menu.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every flight

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

Try to do a flight from startup to shutdown, and input a departure and arrival procedure.
After you input a arrival, try to change it to a different arrival procedure, this is my latest crash.

Experienced the same issue at the end of the flight, when called out a missed approach/go-around the aricraft systems froze. Aircraft still responded to controls but none were visually represented, including reverse thrusters or wheels steering. Cockpit completely frozen.

Issue on PC, steam.

I got a repeatable WASM crash on the Inibuilds A330. Everytime I try to select an approach, I got a WASM crash, even when on the ground.

Me too. Was selecting my arrival runway and suddenly all displays froze. Went to the menu and restarted, and again every display froze.

Same, WASM crashing even before a Free Flight in the A350 v1.1.6 loads in.

Just experienced it loading an approach into the A350. Should change my claim. Any Inibuilds Airbus, this happens too. Payware or 2024 standard.

I just experienced it in beta .18.

Installed beta as a brand new install. Few restarts

A320N Inibuilds.

I was Descending into LSZH and had to change arrival to RWY 28 due to wind change. FMC stopped responding after I selected new RWY and all displays froze. Controls became sensitive

with the new feature in beta.19 that makes WASm crash orange I managed to prove when it happens (related to my previous post).

It happens when selecting RWY28 for LSZH arrival procedure in FMC. I was on ground manually entering flight plan and each time RWY28 was elected this happened. I disabled all 3rd party scenery and add on liveries it made no difference.

Had a WASM crash in the A21N. Flight from KORD to KSLC. During cruise, the crash happened when I selected the STAR (Set to CARTR1 at the time) in an attempt to change it.

Edinburgh has always been tricky for stutters and complete freezes in avionics on landing. Here tonight evidence that the freezing at about 100ft off threshold on arrival is a WASM crash. A320n. Xbox x.

I get this exact problem every single flight between 45 mins and 1 hour in. Using WINWING MCDU and a few saitek panels on a more than capable system. Usually occurs during a period of relative inactivity.

I held off on buying the inibuilds A340 as their A330 has the graphical optimisation of windows 95 solitaire but I thought, no, lets give them a second chance. Such a fool I was. If you want me, I shall be in the garden burning some more of my hard earned cash.

Fenix is the gold standard and always will be.

This seems like it could be a case of something going into sleep mode.
When it awakes, the sudden return creates the same effect as plugging in a controller mid flight.
That often causes CTD’s or issues such as this.

I’ll not argue with that as I have nearly 5k hours with it. But to be fair, wasm crash is not an inibuilds issue.. it crashes with other planes as well (including fenix -just look at their discord).
Unfortunately, it’s a piece of .., and Asobo (admittedly) can’t fix it….

Do we think an occasional (say every 30 mins or so) WASM cache delete mid flight would have any positive effect?

Fenix (yes I’m a Fenix fanboy I admit) has the ability to “restart displays” within the EFB which is an absolute genius move. If inibuilds could look at a similar implementation that could be very worthwhile.
