iniBuilds T-33 Jet Trainer

I had the same problem I was abel to recover from the CDT at Simstart by deleting all subfolder under C:\Users\ username \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\ that contains “t33” in its name.
Yeah and we have to wait before new content is coming to the marcetplace because MS / Asobo are doing checks before they publish anything. Just checking the bankaccount if the third party has payed their fee I guess?

For clarity, I do use Xbox, but in this case I have been testing on PC as it is easier to experiment with disabling things. So not just affecting Xbox.

Ok, thanks! It’s really important to provide this information when trying to troubleshoot anything.

No. I assume that was tongue in cheek?
There are a number of things that need to be checked before Marketplace products can be ingested. They check that it boots up on both PC and Xbox, for Xbox, and likely PC, they look for naughty code that could compromise security, there are a number of Marketplace specific things that need to be in place in the package (marketing images, etc., etc.), and stuff like that, also that the correct identification information has all been properly filled out. They used to also require language stuff, but I think that requirement has been removed.

Yes. I assume reading text completly was out of question? When you intall the update of the T-33 from the marcetplace it renders your SIM inoperable. It will not start until you remove this files.
So no, there was NO check if the files from the marcetplace can be bootet up on PC or Xbox!
And when they don´t even check if the files they put up on their marcetplace will crash the sim they can not have tested anything in the sim with it. They might have it checked by an antivirussoftware but definitly the files can not be checked afterwards.
And vor clarification my community folder was blank. And the error can be reproduced on a new installation. So I strongly doubt there is any checking, at least on this plane.

That’s exactly what we customers are always told. Unfortunately, experience has shown the exact opposite, several times in the meantime.
That supposedly everything that comes into the MP is tested sounds and feels to me like a slowly unbelievable excuse that some content takes ages to become available.

Yes. same error. Was notified of the update in Marketplace. Update installed to 97% and CTD. If i start safe mode, game starts fine. If I enable 2024 in the Marketplace, it hits 97%, CTD.

On PC.

Yikes. Glad I bought directly from IniBuilds. Only buying MP if it’s exclusive or for some reason I want to fly a plane on my Xbox.

On FS2024 SU3 Beta, the main canopy disappears in the external view. Reported here in the SU3 beta area, and in IniBuilds’ forum, so hopefully someone at MS or iniBuilds sees the issue before SU3 ships.

Guys, I was only saying what is checked. Microsoft DOES NOT check if the product works. They never have, they never will, and, personally, I don’t want them too. That is the developers job. The time it would take Microsoft to test every aspect of a product would mean nothing would ever get released. And, no, they’re not checking if they’ve “paid their fee”. The developer gets paid out of the proceeds of the sale, not the other way around. They do not “pay a fee”.

I can exactly tell you what my boss would do when I develop some working code, test it, change something in the solution which might break the product and then release it without cheking if it’s still working:
We would have a very serious conversation in private!

Coming to the fee:
Microsoft is a capitalist, profit-oriented company that has to make a profit to survive and also to keep the global economy running. You don’t seriously believe that MS provides the infrastructure of the marketplace out of pure good will.

But what upsets me the most: The cause has been known here for 2 days now, and none of the officials has in any way indicated that any steps are being taken! They have the customer’s money!

Since it is unfortunately forbidden to ping the mods, especially since I already know the answer. Always follow the standard procedure, worse than our German officials.
“You have to generate a bug report first, so that we can see if the problem is serious enough to be considered at all” …
As I have already written, MS already has your coal.
and what is and remains the most important thing for a capitalist, profit-oriented company? $$

To anybody with this error:

  • File a ticket at Zendesk
  • Ask for a solution
  • Ask for a refund if not fixed in 1 (one) week.
  • Remain polite but firm and direct

The developer did their job! You can see that clearly because when you buy this plane or update direct from the developer it does not break the sim. That occurs only if you buy the exaxt same plane with the same version from the marcetplace.
And as is written some posts above the guessing goes that MS / Asobo changes things upon the process of publishing something on the marcetplace. And sure as hell it would be their job to test if their process is working!
And we do not claim that they do any test, you did! And MS/Asobo also said that the delays between the developer sends the files to them until they are publishes were due to extensive testing.
I apologize if that comes around as a personal accusation @FlyingsCool5650 - that was not my intend. Clearly I am a fanboy of MSFS2024 myself as much as I play in career mode, the challenges or in feeflight preferable in multiplayer with friends. I sunk a lot ot time in money in this sim.
And if somebody would have said that hey, it´s early access - if you want a smooth ride just wait a year from now I would have said nothing. But the constant untrue statemens makes me a little bit angry and while normaly I did not let my mood come through if someone repeats clearly untrue statements you got me on an edge.
I realy hope they have the guts to admit there mistake and fix it up realy soon because I can´t wait to fly the T-33…

Its not the MS team that break the product, its the MS compliation process. Its well known for cutting out lines of coding including everything from checklist files through livery textures to large chunks of fuel systems. Some of the devs i test for have pulled their hair out many times after uploading a solid product only to find it has large bugs due to chopped out code and other errors induced by the compliation process.
Its been reported by developers to Asobo/MS many times but never gets sorted and seems worse during busy/backlogged periods.
It can be hugely frustrating after testing via XPP for console and signing off on a good product only to find its broken when the release version hits the marketplace. But it’s not only MS injestion that can cause problems. Just recently, JustFlights installer has created some issues too, which i will say JF got straight to sorting out ASAP.

However, this faulty build pipeline is the responsibility of the MS team. So the buck clearly stops with Microsoft.

If the issue still exists when SU3 is actually released and no one does anything about it you can be upset. But right now this is a BETA issue in BETA release of constantly changing BETA Sim Update. In a BETA issues like this are to be expected and to be accepted.

If you don’t like that, you have to return to the stable SU2 release and it has absolutely nothing to do with “having your money”. Only with not understanding what a BETA is.

EDIT: never mind, I believe you were referring to a different issue regarding the market place not the canopy problem. Sorry about that. I leave my text crossed out, because I know some might still benefit from it.

The version in the Inibuilds store is 1.0.5. The version that arrived in the Marketplace this week is 1.0.4.
Enabling the T-33 in the Marketplace caused a CTD for me. The next time I tried to disable/enable the aircraft worked fine.
CTD when Enabling MP content for the first time - User Support Hub / Crashes (CTDs) - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I couldn’t get the marketplace version to work, the sim wouldn’t even load fully before it CTD. Luckily (for PC users), Inibuilds allowed me to transfer it across to their store, even though I’ve never used their store for purchases previously.

I’ve just noticed this CTD issue after rolling back to SU2 from the beta. Can I ask how you engaged iniBuilds to report this and get transferred over to their store? I’ve dropped a report on their Discord (albeit on the weekend) and haven’t heard anything back from them (*yet).

It’s pretty straightforward, just use this link. If you haven’t already, create an account with inibuilds, you need to provide this in the form.

Also, you need a screenshot of the t33 confirming its ‘owned’ status.

At the point where it asks for invoice number, just type 1234 into the box (as MS not providing proper receipts for purchases).

So what’s in today’s update for the T-33?

FWIW, I have really been enjoying this plane in MSFS 2020 – especially since the SU 16 update.
