So in real life there is a factory default gauges cockpit, a glass variant that Boliva had, and the customized variant that is used for shows. Is the complaint that it doesn’t match any of those 3? Or that its one variant and another is preferred?
This isn’t difficult. The issue is that they collaborated with an individual who owns a modernized T-33. The cockpit of the specific T-33 that they worked with is not depicted in the simulated options.
If they are going to base this aircraft in part on an example they worked with, why not depict that specific example.
Maybe that is one of Greg’s other T-33s - he owns three of them.
If it’s an EFI that’s not already in the sim, you’re looking at a significant cost in money and time to replicate it. If there’s no current standard for modern instrumentation anyway, perhaps the ‘close enough is good enough’ approach is the right one.
The model that they did checks against was a unique updated cockpit retrofitted for flight shows. If they got that totally 1-to-1 representation, then someone who wanted to fly a Bolivian version would be saying “This is junk, why model the cockpit after a unique specific aircraft”.
Is the configuration something that can actually be done? Are all the controls and flight systems hooked up accurately with the controls in the cockpit? Are readings accurate? Is the flight model as expected? I would think those would be the important questions. I wouldn’t worry so much about a total 1-to-1 identical modelling to a specific modified variant. For example, he has 3 of these birds. Are the other two cockpits exactly the same as this one?
I think you guys are entirely misinterpreting this whole collaboration thing.
“Gregory Colyer was essential for us to nail the performance and behavior of this aircraft and through multiple feedback sessions and tuning we perfected the aircraft’s behavior to work just as he would expect in real life; of course within the bounds of a desktop simulation.”
Basically, they consulted him on the fight model. I don’t think it was ever suggested, or their intent to actually model and replicate his particular aircraft.
I haven’t seen a single good airplane from IniBuilds so far. Not holding my breath for this one…
They should stick to what they are good at and concentrate on airports.
Development is being done by SimWorks Studios.
ok THAT’s different of course
thanks
I can’t wait for this to release. I think the work they have done on the aircraft looks great. Just to be forgiving to the developer, I don’t believe any aircraft in this simulator behaves realistically. Even the best done aircraft are not entirely realistic as in no FFB forces being felt on controls, no g forces. Every controller I have tried has different characteristics. As far as I’m concerned all aircraft will maneuver in ways that would not be realistic based on operator input on your controls.
This game will never be a full on simulator as far as I can see, but I still love the game.
Everyone’s opinion is respected but I am sure many of us will truly enjoy this aircraft.
It’s August 18, 2024. Please release ASAP Thank you.
Oh i cant agree with that. Skyvan is great and so is the Westland Wasp/Scout.
Releasing soon? this week?
The product page is online. Hopefully that means it’ll be released any day =)
It’s not for sale yet. Estimated release is 30-AUG.
Agree, looks stunning. Expecting this will join the Heatblur/IFE Tomcat at the top of my military jet charts.
