Install over a SSD and HDD

Is it possible to install over a SSD and HDD? My SSD is full?

Did you want to get a bigger SSD or, are you adding an HDD? And, are you booting off of an HDD or SSD? Not sure what you’re asking. One of the best tools to clone a drive(s) is Acronis True Image.

My current SSD is full… Want to get another SSD instead of putting the sim on HDD(As I have heard it causes performance issues…) Will I have to reinstall the sim on the bigger SSD? My update wouldn’t complete on my current SSD because it still needed 8Gb of space (That it didn’t have)

you can get a bigger SSD then use a clone software to make a copy of your old ssd to the new one. when done boot from the new drive…

Bad idea mate

Once you launch the sim for the first time, you’ll have the choice to select the Install Packages Path . If your C: drive is small, you can install the official packages (more or less 100GB depending on your version) and the community packages on any drive of your choice (for instance the D: drive).

better is fresh install  lolz

Waste of time

the OP asks if ssd + Hdd is an option , putting your data files on a slowwwww disk i would not advice.

lolz 2 SSD’s i need more coffee.

But then again if OP buy’s a bigger SSD then it’s better to have that one running the OS and then have more room for a bigger pagefile.

Size matters

I can move pagefile.sys to another SSD without any problems

Edit

If you don’t have a location to mount the new SSD, but do have an empty PCIe x16 slot, they make m.2 adapters for the PCIe x16 slot which take full advantage of the speed of hi-speed SSD’s (i.e. Rocket Sabrent). I’m using two 1TB Rockets and it’s working great for me, one on the motherboard, and one in an adapter. They’re very inexpensive.

Make sure they match the model you’re purchasing (mine were NVMe 2280 at the time a couple of years ago)

Hi all, is it possible to add another SSD and just move the community folder to this new SSD?
