Just started my download and it stops after a few minutes and refuses to start again.
Overwhelming frustration.
The download gets to 984.3Mb then refuses to download any more.
Have you tried restarting the game or the PC?
Iām in the UK, downloaded the 1GB earlier today. Have tried hitting PLAY in Microsoft store, but it is telling me I am too early. But Iām not, itās gone midnight!! Anyone else having this issue?
Having this exact same issue; wonāt sync with cloud data, and gets stuck on Checking for Updates.
I tried at least 10times, i installed the game 3timesā¦
Ok so whenever you start something implying a USB device, game will crash ! Had to rewire my USB mic, the instant I plugged it in again, game crashed !!
You need to go into your Microsoft account and look at the top in the menus for DEVICES. Click that, and you need to activate your PC that you are installing into as a device with your account. The PC will probably already be shown ( mine was ) but you need to click on it and activate it. Then the not supported device issue should go away.

Store is saying 5am. So much for midnight launch.
Yes i said it earlier, when i tried to connect joystick or controler , it crashed.
Itās a real shame to have that much issues at launch when you know you much effort they put in the game

Iām beginning to suspect this is the surprise they warned us about the launch surprise a very bad launch surprise lol
What a mess. What was even the point of āpreloadingā?
If I manage to get it to start download, iāll not troubleshoot anymore and just let him do his thing
Guys Iāll copy my instructions from another thread, hope it helps:
- Ensure that you have āDigital Ownershipā package installed along with MSFS
- Check that you have XBox Beta App installed and (!!!) running correctly
- Install MSFS on default disk drive for MS Store products
Better yet - take Step 2 from beginning and install MSFS from XBox Beta App - that will take out big bunch of headache-inducing problems out of the way.
I had full house of problems like ādvd disk checkā, āPress any key to Startā problem, etc. before I figured it out and steps I took are above. After that everyhting works fine.
Also if you have Xbox App account login problems - give this instruction:

Copy and paste this into powershell and hit enter: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register ā$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xmlā}
a shot - it certainly helped in my case. I run this script in Powershell started with administrator privileges. The source of problem is that some components of XBox Live services fail to run properly for some reason - Iāve reinstalled everything this way.
The source of problem with āPress Any Key to Startā is XBox services - fixed as I mentioned in post above - is that MSFS canāt connect with XBox services and fails that way.
Source of problem when you ran MSFS and it got stuck with blue progress bar and restarting few times doesnāt help is that MSFS installed on different drive with MS Store. Dunno why it is so thoughā¦
Maybe launch on steam will be better.. at least, i hope.

This is typically resolved by closing the game and opening it back up again.

Been stuck at this screen saying its downloading fspackage.030 for 2 hours now. Says it still has 7GB to go but never downloads. It downloads but very very slowly. It took me 90 mins to download the other 90+ GB of the game. I tried the netsh command in a command prompt that was run as administrator and rebooted afterwards, am running the game as admin, nothing helps. There are no partial files in my packages folder. fspackage.029 is there, but .030 is not despite it saying its downloading it. It downloaded about 100mb in 30 minutes. SO FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW 
I am stuck with blue bar progress, so i need to reinstall?
