Is it just that my old eyes are failing me totally, or is the panel & instrument lighting provided with most aircraftc is poor to literally missing entirely ?
I ALWAYS first search for the lighting controls and wind them up to max so I can see them more easily from a VFR flying position (My usual status), but it does not matter whether they are “steam” gauges or Glass units, they are all very hard or even impossible to read from this flight position.
So trying to check my airspeed on an approach to land is hard to impossible, making accurate landings well nigh impossible unless cockpit lighting happens to be very good for whatever reason (sun shining in etc)
Does anyone have any feed back on this, or better yet, a way to increase the brightness of the flight panels generically in 2024 ?
