Insurance costs do not reset each day but just compound whether you earn or not

Description of the issue:

Every day at midnight, an insurance bill is deducted. It is supposed to be based on your working flight hours for the previous day. It is in fact just compounded from all your previous bills with the latest day added to that compounded figure.

What this means is if you do no ‘freelance’ missions for a day, the compounded ‘error’ means you will still get charged the same amount as the previous day, with the small daily charge added. Effectively you can earn nothing and get a daily bill of 185k+++.

Updated image with the latest daily charge: Notice how the ‘balance’ at the top now says ‘0’, while the companies balance figure now reads as -172,926. The system iself cannot calculate the negative balance from the previous balance of 38,374.

Uodate: Just incase anyone was wondering about the ‘update’ for the 2nd Dec 2024. It seems to have made the issue even worse. The Insurance cost for yesterday (today), is more than the insurance cost for the day before. In fact, it has gone back to the amount for the worst day.

This will be my last update as I feel wasting an entire week to this is far more proof than anyone should ever be expected to test this software for them!

I think I had this same issue. I can’t check now because insurance wiped out my account so I restarted my sim (I had other issues as well).

I Got charged over 60,000 in a single day for a plane with the cheapest insurance and two planes with the middle insurance. The kicker is that I had only flown an hour or two in that 24 hour period.

• Yes, I havent flown in to days but got charged the same ammount. Also when I try to change insurance it charged me again, but it doesnt even show up in my balances it just disappeared when i changed the insurance. so now I’m almost out of money without doing anything after trying to save up.

Honestly this is just broken. And most annoyingly Microsoft/Asobo will do nothing to compensate early adopters they’ll just sit it out after knowingly releasing it in this state.

I have this issue. So much of this wasn’t tested, to the point where it’s clear this is a variable that isn’t being reset. They had to have outsourced career mode. Asobo isn’t the best, but they aren’t THIS bad. Career mode literally wasn’t tested.

I have this exact same issue.

I’m not flying for 3 days at a time.

Then I log in and my insurance bill rises every day, for the days I haven’t flown, every day totaling more than the previous day.

This bug wiped out my entire company while I was out for Thanksgiving.

• It also happened when I changed my insurance plan but that time didn’t show up in my expenses costing me $140K on top of the $150k+ ID ALREADY lost.

While I’m getting billed even though I didn’t fly any of my planes, it’s nice that it’s at least transparent about it in the latest update:

I’m puzzled as to why this topic hasn’t garnered more interest. Could it be affecting only a select group of users?

Have you seenn all the posts about Passive Incomes not working?

They are working, but this bug wipes out whatever was earned, and the daily reports mention Passive Income in the header, but don’t say anything about the Insurance.

My theory is every report about Passive Income is in fact this Insurance bug.

• Everyday I get charged Insurance for the same 2hr 20 mins of flying.
I have not flown my company plane for about six days so this does agree with @GaugeForever 's theory. Unfortunately my plane it too wrecked to fly and find out if that corrects it.
I think the discrepancy in the amount of credits shown in the two screenshots below is due to a reputation change between the two days

• i have the issue since the 1st december. i played a cargoship mission at the 3rd december and should earn about 100.000 Credits, but i got nothing.

• Everytime when I go to the main screen of career HQ it shows me passive income information.

  • It is stucked on 1.12. 2024
  • No income is added and no insurance is deducted.
  • Last I was flying with company airplane with Crew OFF was on 1.12. 2024 and then on 3.12. 2024
  • Two companies, one company have one plane and other company have two planes.

I was not able to fly on 3.12. 2024 at 10:07 - 10:46 because I was not online. It is probably due to the maintenance.

• Crew is turned off for all aircraft and I did not complete any flights in Career Mode in the last 24hrs and yet I got an insurance bill. The amount seems consistent with OP’s theory, as the hours look reasonable for total flight time for each aircraft - see screenshots.

This is a MAJOR issue. I have no interest in flying in the career mode until this is fixed. Mods, please acknowledge that this bug is logged and that it is being work on.


Same issue. I only flew 3hrs yesterday but it has charged me for my total flight time in this plane.

Yes. Will no longer play this game since all my progress in career has now been lost due to erroneous insurance charges. Was just billed over 110,000 credits and haven’t even played in 2 days.
