:I just ran the latest update to FS2020. My mouse is now having some erratic issues while trying to spin any dial for all MS planes and PMDG 737. When I spin the mouse wheel the knobs either don’t move or just moves erratically.

So I’m assuming you are using the non-legacy interaction mode, complete with flashing blue interactives?

I don’t so have to either battle the cockpit moving around, or drop down to an ā€œInstrumentā€ camera view where turbulence is not affecting the camera. In that mode the only issue I have noticed when scrolling is where my mouse has moved off the dial causing me to zoom instead.

I really should take another look a the ā€œModernā€ mode. The UI pop-up put me off instantly.

Yes this issue is very frustrating. I can’t click anything with my mouse ok maybe after hitting it 30 times.

I have the same problem. Pmdg 737-800 and I can’t click anything

I have started having the exact same problem with intermittent mouse cursor. Is there a fix?

Same problem. I am flying with HOTAS X52PRO, when it disconnected the problem is gone. Reconnected the problem return immediately. Asobo must have a solution as soon as possible, It is almost impossible to flight with this problem. Any ideia if Asobo is working on solution??? Before last update it is working perfectly. PC (no xbox controler ever connected) win11 updated, latest nvidia driver.

Thank God others are having this issue; been driving me nuts. Definitely having issues with clickspots in 737 and even Fenix A320, so it has to be the sim and this AAU2 update. I did not have any issues in the AAU2 beta with my mouse clicks, but now I can’t even click on certain knobs, switches, etc.

Frustrating!

7/2023 UPDATE/SOLVED: I had LENS CORRECTION set to ON, it needs to be OFF. My click spot issue has been resolved! Woo hoo.

Applies to many aircraft, tested in ATR 42-600, ATR 72-600 and A320Neo stock

Brief description of the issue:

After last update, the cockpit the cursor / pointer starts showing a white dot in the middle of screen, constantly flashing, and clicks aren’t registered. Cursor disappears intermittently alternating with the white dot, which renders interacting with cockpit impossible. In the video it can be seen how changing altitude is almost impossible because all clicks are instead registered to the white dot. From the moment it happens for the first time, happens all the time. Thus, flying becomes almost impossible because it’s really hard to interact with the cockpit as its shown in the video below.

The issue has been reported in beta in AAU2 here, and also recently here

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Video from the stock A320Neo. Recorded my hand too so it can be seen the amount of missed clicks.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Stand in the cockpit or fly a couple of hours or less.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Not relevant, but adequate pc (AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB RAM, dedicated SSD for MSFS, Radeon 6800XT GPU)

Since latest update (June 2023) I’m also now getting frequent mouse flashing and interrupted mouse operation when mouse is being used- as well as occasional white dot. Most annoying when trying to change radio frequency with the mouse and during other operations. Using Honeycomb bravo and Fulcrum yoke - no xbox controller. On PC win 10 DX10 with latest nvidia update.

The same for me… What can we do?

Same issue here.

Not only that, with the latest update from FBW for the A32NX, I happened to notice that whenever I exit the screen or pause the flight, the right thrust lever returns to idle position. I have to manually ā€˜set’ it again with the Thrustmaster quadrant. Left engine is seemingly unaffected… Very odd.

Running on PC / MS Store & get white dot when coming into land. Flying Cessna C310R, never seen this prior to 1.33.8.0. It was solid for a few minutes then disappeared. Spoilt a critical phase of flight.

I have exactly the same white dot issue and problems with the Mouse. Completely ruins the flight. Also still suffering loss of ATC sound when using Azure in busy traffic situations. Please can someone at Microsoft pull their fingers out and sort these problems with a patch. I don’t want to have to wait several months for a remedy. If they can’t sort out these issues then I’m not going to invest any more money in buying the 2024 edition.

Over a year ago with su-5 they added xbox controls to our pcs and we lost keyboard functionality we were promised a fix. It never came. Now we lost mouse control. What’s next? Does nobody test these updates?

Yesterday I had a similar problem in the PMDG 737-700 on XBOX.

I have the same issue. Happens in default aircraft as well as my PMDG 737. I tried the no_more_white_dot download it didn’t help. Switched mouse to Legacy. The white dot went away and the mouse cursor acts wierd but is somewhat usable

Apparently is a known issue. It’s been reported here, also made a post here (I didn’t see yours and it didn’t appear on a search, or I missed it, sorry), and made a bug report here. It’s very very frustrating. I can bear with the poor night lights in airports, DX12 missed textures… but this renders it unusable as a flight sim.

Ah, so it’s the white dot bug causing this.

For me, if I move my mouse around and then stop, the muse cursor disappears after a few seconds. I see a white dot in the center of the screen for a moment.

After that, if I move my view around using my stick, the game will light up any window when my (now invisible) mouse cursor passes over it.

Like so:

The white borders follow the invisible mouse cursor, not the white dot, so if the mouse cursor is not in the center of the screen the (for me fortunately invisible) white dot will be in the center of the screen, but the activity will take place wherever the mouse cursor was.

I guess my white dot disappears because I’m on Legacy?

I can make my white dot stay if I move my view around with the stick when my mouse cursor disappears by the way. But as soon as I stop moving the white dot disappears.

Anyways, maybe that’s why the dot and your active control are not in the same spot, the view is centered on the dot, but the active control on the location of your hidden cursor?

I really hope they will allow me to turn the ā€œfeatureā€ off. Those white borders are so ugly popping up when I try to feel like it’s real.
