iPad With MS2020?

I have an iPad that is not being used…What is the easiest way to attach the iPad to MS2020 for use as a second monitor for GPS, Map, etc? Thanks!

If you have Navigraph and want to use it for charts / moving map you can just download the app.

If you want to use it as an actual monitor to move things onto, you could use Duet or other software. Can run it as a pannel for Air Manager (I believe).

Spacedesk is what I use with my tablet.

Navigraph charts and world map for tracking your flight without having to open Navigraph on PC.

With Navigraph sim link installed, your iPad can detect where your aircraft is on the map and/or chart in real-time.

Highly recommend. I do believe the iPad app is for ultimate tier subscriptions.

Cheers

If you’re flying primarily in the US FltPlan Go is free and is a real world app pilots use.

Navigraph if you want to pay, or Foreflight, another real world aviation app is great, but costly.

Spacedeak if you’re using it as a monitor.

Little navmap has a neat little webserver function, you could access it on your tablet without installing another app. I used it all the time on my phone before i connected a second monitor to my livingroom PC.

You can also download Splashtop Wired XDisplay for the PC and as an app on the iPad. It’s freeware.
This way the iPad is being treated by Windows like a second monitor and you can display anything you like on it. I use it for the FSPM VFR Map.

I use AviaServer with my ipad (2nd gen) to run the FMC on the CRJ.

If you want to go realistic / train for real life: Foreflight

I use my iPad mini with MSFS. It works really well with Skydemon (which I also used to use for VFR in RL) and with Navigraph charts which I use for IFR in the sim.

I use Flight Sim Mobile Companion (FSMC) on my ipad. It lets you easily handle a lot of controls, i.e. Auto Pilot, Radios, Map, Lights, EFIS, etc. Love it.

I have 2 tablets - an old iPad 5th gen and even older utterly obsolete Android. Both are connected to my computer using SpaceDesk and I use them as extra touch displays for Air Manager. They work great.

Really, if you have a tablet, there’s so many good uses for it with flight simming, regardless how you use it.

I’ve just subscribed to Navigraph and Navigraph Charts works very well on my iPad. By the way, Navigraph Charts also gets added to MSFS 2020 as an extra option in the top menu pull down.
