Is AI OFFLINE traffic disabled (msfs2024) by asobo? In steamapps\common\Limitless\Packages\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic
There is file called trafficAircraft.bgl and it should be over 30mb sized. But for me it is empty of flightplans and sized only 2kb.
Copying 2020 version of that file doesent work, because it uses 2020 planes.
There is no mention that ai offline would be disabled at launch of 2024, so this might be a bug.
I have noticed that AI offline aircraft traffic is not working as you mention. I think you are correct that it has either been purposely nerfed at present, or this is a bug or error that needs to be corrected. Hopefully this will happen soon.

what would happen if we copy the trafficAircraft.bgl from msfs2020 over to msfs2024??? anyone tried that? sucks to have no ga traffic at all…

That .bgl file is made for MSFS2020 planes and wont work. But if you want offline ga traffic, there is addon for it called GAmod and it works with MSFS2024.
its a great mod, but it doesnt work on 50% of my 3rd party airports (also on some poor designed default airports) I know you cant do anything about poorly designed airports unfortunately
