Is anyone else really dissapointed?

Just simple VFR? I spent a few hours yesterday flying the TBM, digging through the FMS, trying all the AP modes, rerouting the flight plan while airborne, diverting around a storm, flying multiple instrument approaches, and it all worked.

In the old non-download, disk in a box days, it had to be tested PROPERLY. That’s the difference.

I’d rather not waste my time arguing with people in here but thought you were talking about the a320 my bad…carry on

True, but the things that slipped through never got fixed and you learned to live with them, or gave up on it, but the expectations on the developers to fix things were also lower. So there was less to complain about.

the laws of which country ?!

is he following me or am i following him ?

Why are you still posting comments here after you got a refund. Life’s too short for that man.

spam. he’s gone, i’m pretty sure on that.

What? He showed such promise!

That can only be understood as deliberately wanting it be understood as a fact.
The response you got was:

You replied:

Strange how you now only believe it and do not have the time to dig it up. I can’t find that early developer Youtube video. Can you please find it and share or do you often state things as a fact on this forum without checking first?

Is that an admission that you know that your opinions are sometimes not based on facts? Could it be that that is actually the cause of your disappointment, which you want to voice here. Why did you buy FS2020 when P3D PMDG is the gold standard? You must surely have know before buying that the P3D version would not work on FS2020 and a PMDG version would not be included on launch of FS2020.

Please elaborate. Are you a real pilot? Which plane are you talking about? What feels a long way off? On a professional sim or just your home hobby setup. Just asking because I did not see you participate in the thread where real pilots were asked to comment on how the FS2020 planes fly. Like many other reader, I am always interested to read the opinions of people qualified to give a worthy opinion.
Hope you answer in detail.

If you desire your money back, don’t let people try to talk you out of it. Best thing for you is to talk to a lawyer and get some good legal advice.
Good luck.
Hope you did not buy from stream or buy DVD’s

Good effort, just think of all the Lego, action figures and Pokemon you can now buy👏

Thank you for pulling apart my posts and hyper analyzing everything I said. You’re probably right about most of it.

I seem to remember a very early dev video from Asobo where they alluded to the fact that the planes would be study level, I can’t find any evidence of that now and I am not going to comb through a few hours of youtube to find it. I was an Alpha tester and also remember discussions around this very statement made by Asobo…again, I cannot prove it right now so maybe it was a fever dream.

My opinions are just that, my opinions. Is this not a forum designed to share opinions and discuss? Isn’t this thread specifically for us to share our disappointments? That’s what I’m doing.

I’m not a real pilot, merely a flight enthusiast looking to get as close to the real experience as possible, but I do know that the nose of a king air does not come off the ground when you pull back on the yoke at 30kts. There’s stuff that just so glaringly wrong. All the planes I fly float in a very odd way. Can you point me to that thread where real pilots share their comments on how the planes fly? I’d be interested to read it.

Edit: I think I found the post here: Real World Pilots, please state your feedback about the flight model

And here’s a thread from another real world pilot who seems to talk about the floating issue I’ve experienced as well: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/the-sim-from-real-life-pilot-perspective/257409

I did not pull your post apart. I was essentially only asking you to elaborate on the basis of facts and giving you the opportunity to making corrections if necessary. Perhaps you could use more IMO, or I think, etc to avoid misunderstanding or confusion.
I will come back with the thread where real pilots share their comments. Don’t be confused there too. Seems like lawyers, i.e. if you ask three lawyers for legal advice, you get 5 legal opinions.
All friendly intended.

hahahaha…

FS9 was also an incremental upgrade to a platform that had been in active development and production for over a decade. I hope we get to see a similar evolution in Flight Simulator over the next decade as we did going from FS5 to FS2004, and that fall-out from kicking this thing out the door prematurely doesn’t cause Microsoft to pull the plug.

Oh dear. The repeated mention (as doom and gloom) of that time when MS pulled the plug because it was a low-revenue niche market. The gaming market, leisure time, disposable income has since then grown massively. That’s why FS2020 must be a flight sim with a gaming element that will earn massive revenues. We simmers can make that happen by helping to improve the sim and thus secure the sim (with regular significant updates like DX12) for us long-term at the same time.
As Donald Sutherland said: “Stop those negative waves” The gold in in the bank for our taking.

my EXPERIENCE as they call it has been I want to be nice so not fun and agree with writer number on right engine shuts off on A320 after I turn off apu. IF I leave it on then it cuts off on its own during landing cycle so I take small trips and auto pilot is not friendly even on easy **787 is not even flyable with auto pilot or not **which is why I bought the full version As far as addons lets get this to work first then I might buy an addon. IN short a very unfinish product that is done great but I wouuld like to fly before I buy you might say next time I spend version 1.8.3

If the vitriol, immaturity, and unreasonable expectations displayed on this forum are anything to go by, I wouldn’t blame them for shelving it. It must be such a miniscule drop in Microsoft’s bucket. I hope they don’t.

Ok - All been doing MSFS since 98 version. I was taught to navigate by a DC-10 Delta Pilot he spent hours helping me learn how to do it. Ok, those days analog gauges, and the AP’s were basic. But, I should be able to take my knowledge gained in all the versions of MS-FS down through the years and hop in a plane and get to point b from point a, throwing in a few VOR’s in the process in the flight planner (aka=world map). The C172G1000 also should not dwarf me, but even reading a tutorial (guide to FS-2020-so fly) I find the G1000 horrible, nothing seems to work the way it did in FSX. Putting on the AP/FD/ALT etc. does not seem to work the way I think it should. And because if seems so frustrating, I think I am going to just quit trying and go back to FSX because I can fly any of those planes, see up an IFR/ILS setup for the 747 - 737 - C-17GIII - interact with ATC and handle all of it without any assistance. Plus I fell like I understand what I am doing and here (MSFS-2020) feel well lost. I know things have changed been updated, but it does not act like it should. Yes, I can manually fly the planes, but I want the systems to work, and for me they do not work the way I think they should based on years of experience in the prior versions of this sim. SO, leaving MSFS-2020, and going to give it a few months for all the bugs to be ironed out, reinforce what I really know, and maybe when I come back to it, things will work better. I feel like a complete failure, and I just know it aint me!!!

Your entire post shows IMO that you have much flight simmer knowledge and experience and that the current version of FS2020 does not meet your needs or expectations. I can understand that.
You do not need to feel like a complete failure and it is not just you. If FS2020 does not live up to your expectations, then it simply does not. Use and enjoy another sim that does.
