Over the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that the live weather in both 2020 and 2024 just seems to be broken and not working correctly.
I’m not sure if it’s a server problem or what, which I suspect it is seeing as it impacts both 2020 and 2024, but it seems the game is now rarely injecting cloud when it should be, but especially at night time here in the UK/Europe where the cloud injection just seems to stop working almost entirely.
If you check now for example over UK/France/Germany, it’s not injecting any of the cloud cover it should be.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I know there’s various bug reports on specific live weather issues but this seems that the server isn’t working correctly at all.
I was testing the same aircraft build yesterday in FS’24 and FS’20, same location, Live Weather Live Traffic. ATIS and weather depiction were identical - 600’ overcast, 10 knots wind, cold.

Yeah, I’ve seen like no weather at all. Even when it’s cloudy in my area it’s sunny in the sim. I’ve even double checked to make sure it was live weather. I also specifically noticed snow cover problems last week. Much of my area had 4"-9" of snow but in the sim there wasn’t even a trace. It’s all kinds of messed up right now.
No problem here. Did a flight from Anchorage to Kodiak today. Had clear weather at the start, then descended into an eerie overcast gloom over Kodiak Island.
I think the problem is it’s just very bugged, with certain bugs that only happen at certain times of day so it seems to affect some users and not others:
