Is it possible to disable that "back on track" feature when crashing during free flight?

When plane crashes, instead of forcing me to restart the flight, it gets me “Back on track” automatically. Is it possible to disable this “feature” so that the flight actually ends when plane crashes?

You can turn off crash detection.

I like to play this game with most realism possible. This “back on track” feature feels like crash detection off with extra steep.

There’s this option:

But this doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do.

See below its description:

The assist is not enabled here, so I’m expecting the flight to actually end when a crash occurs. But instead, it gets me back on track.

The way it’s now seems like I’m playing The Crew 2 instead a flight simulator.

If there’s some hidden option, ini file, etc…please let me know!

Thanks!

What?! This “back on track” thing was super annoying but I was ignoring it up until now as I was experimenting with various stuff (that’s why I crashed a few times in the first place, otherwise this would never have happened).

And you’re telling me I cannot turn “back on track” off? I want to have all crash and stress checks enabled for obvious realism reasons. But once I crash it’s flight over. There’s zero point in respawning the aircraft close to the last crash position.

This needs to be fixed. This is supposed to be a sim, not Ace Combat 8!

We’re voting here: We need an option to disable 'Back on Track' after crash

So if you enable developer mode this doesn’t happen you can crash all you want.. hahaha. I was having an issue when opening a window in flight caused the we are putting you back on track thing… I know for a fact opening a window in flight doesn’t cause a crash irl
