Can anyone please check harbour and city area of Barcelona for me? Usually I fly airliners and I’m high above so I wont notice much of these ugly things, but in Barcelona I wanted to do a tour because I was there on short vacation and I wanted to compare it. Barcelona recieved photogrammetry update earlier this year and I wanted to know if this is normal look how it looks to all of you in game. I tried everything photogrammetry ON/OFF, restarting the game, clearing cache, deleting rolling cache. Still the same. Using TLOD of 205 and TLOD 155, textures for objects ultra/high no difference. Thank you for confirming it looks bad for you as well or preferably how to fix it. Also running 1 GBps network connection which downloads over 100mb/s that should not be problem at all.
Similar discussion (and I guess answers) around photogrammetry than with Monaco after the City-update:
I just took a tour over Barcelona looking for some of the photogrammetry anomalies you pointed out, but had no problems at all. I’m only running an RTX 2080 Super with graphics set to HIGH and LODs set to 100. Outside of the obvious lags and whatnot I tend to get, I didn’t see anything strange about the buildings or trees.

Photogrammetry is not really meant to look at from close, it is only as good as the data/equipment they gathered it on. Im still not a big fan of photogrammetry, but well, this is what Asobo decided to go with and it will not change. Quality seems to increase a bit lately, but its still far from perfect.
Not to mention the elevation issues and completely different ground colors it creates. Absolutely not a fan, but peoples seem to love it, and Jorg too, so we have to go with it.
Now you can say “just disable photogrammetry”. Well, thats not possible, because AddOn airports close to a PG area have to be made to be compatible with the PG, and if you disable it, it can break the AddOn airport.
So, its not really a solution to turn it off, we are meanwhile forced to have it on, kinda… it is what it is and it will look the same on every PC meeting the requirements, no matter if some people claim “it doesnt look like that for me”.
This is the 2024 Data from Vexcel Imaging on Bing maps, as you can see, this is the same as in the sim, it cant be better than that, no matter your settings/hardware.
No OP it’s not supposed to look like that. I don’t have that scenery but I do have issues with some airports in N. America more specifically KDFW. I honestly think it’s due to server issues. And until MS fixes their servers things will not change. I might be wrong but I seriously doubt it. I hope it gets fixed for you.
Thank you for detailed feedback/answer.
unfortunately, you are. Look at the pictures i posted above you, its the current 2024 Vexcel data that is used by Asobo/MSFS. It cant look better than the data.
Op, I’ve had buildings that look like that. I don’t recall exactly what cities, but I’ve seen that. It looks similar to how Google Earth depicts 3D structures.
San Francisco looks fine, but my parents’ house in the East Bay (about 30 miles east of SF), looks exactly like what you showed Barcelona looking like. Sorry I can’t help you, but I can confirm you’re not the only one.
