Hey everyone! I have been flying the horizon + latinvfr 321neo and fbw a320neo recently and i kinda want a ceo varient of the 320 as there is more operator. Just need a few guide on whether the fenix 320 is worth it cuz im planning to buy it appreciate the help!
Hey there @JoeWasTaken8437!
I have the Fenix A320ceo and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to add another plane to their fleet. It is really good texture wise and the systems are detailed greatly.
HOWEVER, It does require a lot of CPU usage. Meaning that if you have a low-end CPU the plane may not run properly.
But, in short, I would recommend it if you have a good CPU and are looking to add another plane to your hangar
Cheers!
Thank you! Just curious is it normal for the gpu to run hotter if the plane ur using is demanding to run ?
If you are prepared to spend the money and have a decent PC then it’s absolutely worth it. I’m flying mine right now. The FBW A320 is fantastic for freeware and if it was payware would fetch a good price, but the Fenix is several steps up from that and possibly the best airliner in MSFS. Once we get the long promised free update (due in weeks not months they say) it’s going to level up even more with a number of simulation firsts.
I hope an 13th gen processor is good enough lol cuz i want to avoid the situation where i got good specs but when i buy an aircraft it runs terribly
Yes, it is.
The more power needed to run the sim, the more heat produced.
You shouldn’t have any issue running the fenix with that processor though.
Alright! Thanks so much:)
I can also recommend the Fenix. It´s worth every penny. I fly it all the time on VATSIM and it´s simply great fun. If you have a powerful machine you won´t regret it!
Fenix is far superior to the LVFR, and is also (in my opinion) further along in terms of system depth and quality to the FBW.
As mentioned, it is a resource hog (CPU and GPU). Faster memory also helps.
By far my most flown aircraft.
Ever since I bought Fenix, I have not flown anything else in the Sim! So for sure I recommend it. Their product is top notch!
I have to force myself to fly other planes sometimes but 80% of the time I fly the Fenix. On a cost per hour or per flight it’s my best value paid addon.
As others have said, extremely worth it! Plus, they are updating it soon with an upgraded visual model, IAE engine variant and winglet options - for free!
It is a must if airliners is your thing. I have tried them all extensively and always come back to Fenix . For realism it is still king (and it is yet to be fully updated) . Do not worry about your processor , I have a 10th series and can still run it perfectly in 2d and VR.
Woah! Yep im def buying it lol
Ofc i always fly airbus more than anything lol
Yes, of course. Fenix is based on Prosim A320 CEO, which is a semi-professional platform even used by real world airlines. The only downside is, not FPS actually, but the obsolete Prosim version. I really hope the team update the mod to newer version of Prosim.
What do you mean by that? That it simulates an older model of the systems? I don’t consider that a downside. It’s a simulate a certain version of the aircraft, that’s OK for me. I don’t need the latest and greatest. Almost nobody flies it anyway probably. What matters is that it’s 99,99% true to real life.
Getting back to the OP’s question - yes it’s absolutely worth every penny. It’s a near perfect simulation of the A32x. Where FBW and derivatives are let’s say 60% complete (they don’t even have two independent MCDU’s for gods sake and no failure simulation as far as I’m aware), this one is 99,99%. Plus the modelling and textures are fantastic.
Prosim is a standalone software, it updates frequently. Fenix might bought just the license up to the date of purchase and will limited by that version. Unless they renew their license. I can affirm that the baseline of the Fenix A320 is several versions older than the newest released Prosim A320. Maybe somewhere around 2021 version. It doesn’t mean that Fenix cannot improve on their own. Actually, they added a lot of modifications onto that baseline. What I mean is, although modifications applied, the basic structure is a several year-old Prosim, and it is obsolete already.
Fenix Sim has ripped out most of the original ProSim code and added their own. What you have now with the Fenix A320 is whatever Fenix Sim want us to have (until Block 2 releases).
I just don’t see why you’re concerned about the version of ProSim that was licensed.
It might be an older version but it’s not really obsolete if it still does the job. If Fenix hadn’t told us they were using prosim you’d never have known about it.
Thanka for the answer guys! I have bought the aircraft and it did not disappoint:)
