Right now I’m getting 230 Mbps download internet speed. If I was to upgrade my internet connection ( provider offers 300,400 & 1 gig high speed) would I see a notable improvement to FPS or LOD? My system is fast, but wondering if Internet speed can cause a bottleneck.

No. It will only help on downloads and updates.
For me the game needs around 10-20 Mbps when gaming.
There is not more data to download. 230 Mbps is fast enough
I have 1gb fiber and it doesn’t help me with anything other than faster downloads compared to when I had 200mbps. GPU and CPU or a combination of both are what is limiting things in the sim for the most part unfortunately.

Yeah I got the fiber specifically for MSFS, thinking I’d be caching a lot of scenery and such- It’s fast, really fast. Amazingly fast. But, none of that speed really helps the sim. However, if you have a lot of big downloads or do any livestreams, you’ll love the fiber. Once you’ve tasted 1gb, you never go back lol.
The speed is only half the story.
Don’t forget about latency. It’s just as important.
In MSFS, I actually have 16ms.
