Is there already, or can somebody make, a list of the known issues with SU-7?
It took me a while to realize all of my Assistance Options had been set to “Easy”. In that there’s no way to save/restore options, I couldn’t remember how I had tweaked them over the last few months, so had to start from scratch again. Multiply this time and effort by how may MSFS-2020 users there are. Also, the HUD showed up again. It took searching the web to find out where the HUD settings had been moved to. I’m discovering other issues as time progresses. So far none of these issues were documented in the release notes. Each of us has to ferret them out one by one.
If I had been able to view/print the known issues ahead of time, it would have saved me about 4-5 man hours for the upgrade.

P.S. Knowing the first releases of anything are always buggy, I purposely waited 48 hours to do the upgrade. If there had been a “heads up” list of things to know I would have checked it.
My biggest issue is the mouse scroll lock resetting the viewpoint every time you use it in freelook. Since simply pressing and holding the right mouse button to look around also disables cockpit inputs like steering and such, taxiing is extremely difficult and you really can’t make final adjustments while taxiing. I had to reset all my settings too, but at least that was possible. Using freelook and interacting with the cockpit really is not.
Cloud altitude is broken and airport ATC is now non-existent for some reason. Honestly the rest seems to be okay for me. I had to make a complete re-install but now performance is good and I didn’t had a single CTD. But they need to hotfix weather and ATC asap, these are massive problems that can’t just wait for the next update.
I hadn’t intended for this thread to be a deposit of known issues. I believe there should be one somewhere, not maintained by a “newbie” like me, but by one of the gurus/moderators/experts. It would be a time consuming job to keep them all organized and without duplicates. Perhaps a downloadable spreadsheet? Extra points if the list contains known workarounds!
The sim freezes when chanig views on a joystick or hat switch. I have to close it via task manager. Unplayable for me as i need outsode view for pushback!
Maybe it’s easier to create a list of what still works…
This is truly the “game of the year” in terms of game breaking bugs and stealing thousends of hours from simmers and third party developers by constantly breaking the game.
Not sure where to post this but, has anyone had UI issues upon loading the flight?
Here’s what shows when looking at the weather. This is after I had chosen live weather when making the flight. Also none of the weather presets work when changing them.
What is HUD? Excuse me, but one of the recurrent issues I have with this forum is the unbelievable use of acronyms by, I’m guessing, very experienced flyers. It would be great if people resisted the urge to assume everyone knew what they were talking about.
Sorry I gave the impression I was complaining. I thought I was asking. Upon further reflection I understand such a list would be impractical. To be effective it would have to be filtered through a central person, and would take a lot of time and effort. Perhaps maintained by the person who keeps track of the issues reported by Beta testers, who may already have a spreadsheet/database. A person who has a working relationship with Asobo. There are many posts in this forum about issues with SU-7. These are in textual/paragraph form and many without confirmation. But trying to find them and boil them down to a “need to know” list is beyond what any of us want to spend time doing. But if folks want to use this thread to list problems (which I thought there already was one) – feel free. Just keep in mind that I won’t be moderating/organizing/prioritizing/confirming/summarizing the postings.
Idk what happened or what changed, but yesterday I was flying fine. Then today I go to do a flight after the update installed and every aircraft has a mind of its own. The throttle randomly increases and decreases on it’s own and the aircraft steers on its own without me touching anything. What could be causing this? Would it be a setting I accidentally enabled?
