Is there a way to make a particular plane variant the default?

I like the Cessna 170 with the G1000 but 2024 always defaults to the Cargo model.. Any way to make a given configuration the default?

Known issue: Aircraft variant and livery setting is not saved between sessions. (it did in 2020)
