Is there really any true pause?

I have tried active pause, or using ESC and then RESUME and the time still keeps going on when I am in either type of pause. Searched on Google and on this forum with no luck.

AFAIK, the sim time stays synced with real time. You want the sim to ‘freeze’ time, right? So if you pause the sim (a ‘true pause’) while the sun is up in the sim, you want to unpause it and be back with the sun still up, even if it’s actually 10:00 pm?

I don’t think that’s possible.

Thank you for that reply. I am going to wipe the sim from my drive because I am a human and I fly for a VA. I may have to pause during a flight to do other things. I think you know what I am talking about. Going back to using P3D.

@DemurerCap82916 Get Flow. You can set a perma-time so that it never changes.

Or you can keep time flow but super easily adjust it backwards and forward.

Also on market place.

Also, a quick search brought this up. Be sure to vote as it’s what you’re looking for! It’s already nearing 200 votes. Please let us have a pause mode that actually freezes time

The trouble with pausing time is the time modes. If you manually set a start time then expecting a pause to freeze the time at some point after that is perfectly fine but if you use live time the pause would have to kick you out of live because clearly you are not live anymore the moment you pause it.

Thank you. I did vote.

That’s what people are looking for. They don’t want to be kicked forward to the real world present, but rather pick the flight back up exactly when they paused it (meaning real time is now out of sync, but matches the time that they paused.)

Thank you YES!!!

Ok, as long as they understand that they will not be in the live environment anymore beyond that. What’s being asked for here can actually be achieved manually but I get the reason for the request. I just wouldn’t want to lose the soft pause we have now. Having the option for either is preferred.

You know that you can just manually adjust time back to whenever you want when you return after a pause? It’s in the top menu in the weather icon - just set time to whatever you want.

He wants an Easy Button.
I can understand that.

Yes, but ditching the whole sim on the back of not having an easy button and only having a fairly easy button feels a little dramatic.

I think he was being sarcastic. I could be wrong.

Ah ok

10 chars

We had Forward X1

Then X2 X4 X8

Then X1/2 x1/4

Then X1/8 x 1/16

Now we want X 0

What next ? X -1 and the sim runs backwards ?

Maybe, when you really think about it, some things just are not practical (or Possible) in MSFS

Nobody’s mentioned the live weather. How would you pause that?
