Hello folks, I received an email using this email add " invites@mailer.surveygizmo.com ". It says its a survey about the experience in MSFS 2020. I am not sure if this is legit. Please anybody can confirm if this survey is legit. I am afraid my account could be hacked when I do the survey. Thank you.
If you don’t know where this is coming from and who wants you to participate in the survey, I’d recommend to delete the email and ignore it ![]()
I don’t want to promise you with 100% certainty that it is legit, but I think that it is legit.
I DELETE any surveys that use surveygizmo and other mass survey companies.
Reminds me of the Police Benevolent Surveys…
If a company wants me to complete a survey, then the company needs to send me the survey not a third party…
Do you think that 3rd party will share your email address ?? You Bet they will…
Another reason I delete survey emails from 3rd party survey companies !
Rather pointless if they sending you emails they already got your email address and if they are going to share probably already have
You may be absolutely correct, however, those automated systems may not propagate your email address until you make that one reply by completing the survey. This helps the system stay cleaner with email addresses that can then be sold to other companies as “Known Good Email Address Responders”…
..
Those that never respond are placed in a different cue of less value thus reducing the spread of your email address. Some companies even discard non-responders after a few attempts, marking them as possible dead email addresses.
…
So, in my opinion, it is always best to delete surveys coming from “Mass Survey” companies.
BUT… Your opinion has much value too.
…
good point wish that worked with spam phonecalls
Oh yes, you made another very good point… Spam Calls… SUPER ANNOYING
I guess we can always just ignore incoming calls for a couple of hours and go Simulation Flying !
Hmmm, spam calls, if the number is NOT in my address book, do not answer it, if it’s legit, they will leave a voice mail.
oh i do but they keep calling back they never get bored
Yeah, block number.
That doesn’t work anymore. With caller ID spoofing apps, the scammers just change the reported caller ID and go for round two (or round 895…). Spoofing apps also make the Do Not Call Registry moot, since trying to report the call just leads to dead ends.
Hmmm, do not elect me to any office which I can control cell phones period. I would put in a chip, phone shuts down unless connected to hands free device if moving faster than 2MPH. Spammers would go to jail.
No. I don’t believe it is a legit Microsoft Flight Simulator survey. I received a survey request directly from Microsoft several months ago. I’m sure it it was legit as it was direct and centered around missions and careers the person getting it would like to see in MSFS. I’m guessing it was pre-MSFS 2024 decision information gathering.
My suggestion would be to delete it.
It is legit, it’s from Xbox Research and I completed one yesterday. No spam has arrived yet…
