Check out the latest Development Update Blog here:

Please use this thread for feedback and discussion. Thank you!

Wouldn’t mind a 717 or a BAe HS748 plane as a future Famous Flyer instead of all the MScenery trash.

We need to have an open discussion about Mscenery whom are dominating the marketplace content
If anyone is curious about their products we have some brave content creators already doing the deep dive

what are we talking about there is nothing there like last week SMH

As you are aware there has already been an open discussion in this thread, and if you search for Mscenery there are plenty of other threads that pop up.

I don’t like they have flooded the MP either. If we could at least filter them out as well as the other devs one isn’t interested in that would help.

We now know when the next Dev Stream is planned so perhaps that would be the best place to bring it up.

Interesting to see rentals implemented.

I’m curious to see how that works out for people.

That thread got closed, thought it was better to discuss in the weekly Dev update threads, the new release planes have been reviewed on YouTube. Easier for any new simmers wondering if those new planes are worth buying, it’s all right here

Yeah Seedy closed it with an explanation which I understand. So I don’t think starting another discussion here would do any good. I think the option to filter out Devs in the marketplace would be a good topic to bring up in the Dev Stream.

It’s horrifying to see that after releasing numerous low quality military planes and helicopters mscenery are now covering civil aviation.

Yep and they are releasing approx 5 planes a week, it’s a huge effort, and soon will move onto GA
In 1 week they have released more planes than PMDG has since 2020

I see there are 6 NEW aircraft from MScenery and all 6 are rated 5 stars already

Seeing then now being called ā€žPROFESSIONALā€œ makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time :joy::sob:
Think the only thing I can do is go out and buy 34 livery packages for one plane.

Seriously, the marketplace is a pillar of keeping the sim going and covering the running costs. How is this supposed to work out?!

In my opinion the star rating should not kick in until it has had ā€˜x’ many purchases …people can still vote but the stars wont start showing until the ā€˜x’ value is reached!

That would stop the one person voting and it immediately has 5 stars!

(ā€˜x’ can be any value but I would suggest 50 as a good starting point!)

Sadly because they are relatively cheap, and some people won’t care about quality. Some may deplore them for flooding the market with low effort product, but for every ten of us who wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole, there may be a hundred or more out there that will.

Those of us who hang out on the official forums are but a tiny percentage of the total user base, and it’s probably a fair assessment that those who don’t use, or even know of the official forums existence, may be the very target audience they are leaning into.

A lot of people are happy if the plane they buy looks like a B747 and does nothing else … it’s just the way it is. They’re the ones flying under the golden gate bridge upside down and there’s nothing wrong with that, they’re having fun with the sim/game they bought.

For a hobbyist though, it’s sacrilege - but you can’t gatekeep what other people can / cannot do with the simulator and there is absolutely a market for this type of product. Probably a larger market than we would like to believe :joy:

I agree with the suggestion above regarding the star ratings, it makes a lot of sense.

Development Update…

But yet again the Development update part has nothing :frowning:

These would be a lot more palatable if they were finally renamed to ā€œMarketing Updateā€ or similar
