Could this be updated with the feedback snapshot we saw in the livestream?

I’m quite bemused by MScenery’s such-and-such Professional, as though they were Just Flight.

I must hand it to them, they know what they’re doing.

And Microsoft enables them. They must make bank off of that garbage.

We are waiting for an updated version that Jorg mentioned is being done for next week.

Updates to the blog post:

Sim Update 16: We’ve seen some positive initial results on performance and stability with the 1.39.9.0 test build and are waiting for more data before we make a final decision on whether to release the update.

Sim Update 3: The team is currently preparing a new pre-release test build which will include performance improvements and new options to reduce/eliminate static aircraft, fauna, etc. as discussed in the recent Dev Q&A. This beta update is targeted for middle of next week.

An important update on Marketplace Rentals: We are temporarily disabling the option to set new rentals in the 2024 Marketplace while we work through some minor kinks. Thank you for your patience.

I’m sure the trial/rental option may end the gravy train for Mscenery.

Not if they don’t allow their aircraft to be rented, unfortunately.

if you want to release SU3 officially next week to the public, the next beta must be published quite soon!

Based on this I would not expect any final release next week.
I am glad they communicate upfront.

thats what i am saying. either the post makes no sense or there is no release next week for SU3.

So let me get this straight

Developer feeback snapshot - nothing changed noticeably

Marketplace rental - not surprised its has kinks so does the majority of the sim itself

And

Marketplace - same bloatware, same trend.

What i really want is hard statistics truth in a post about the surveys, the systems that their focusing on, and their main target for the development teams for both 2020 and 2024. Jorg says one thing, actions are a whole nother thing.

Q&A are great but also"he said this back in 2021 Q&A and it still hasnt happened" soooo are we gonna keep this trend going or see some results of the money we have spent over the last 5 years now and the bugs we have found and requested for them to be fix. Same goes for features.

During the dev stream Jörg hinted strongly at SU3 not being released next week. If I remember correctly the stuttering on Xbox is one of the blockers.

Sim Update 16 (MSFS 2020) : … a final decision on whether to release the update.

Please don’t release the update. Keep it as a beta branch for those that want it. That way, those of us who don’t can keep on using the base product.

This may be the best compromise solution for my wishlist item.

@AsoboPM will heavy airliner rating become available in careermode in SU 3, so we can fly the larger planes on airliner missions atleast???

…new options to reduce/eliminate static aircraft, fauna, etc. as discussed in the recent Dev Q&A…

This seems to indicate new sliders for static a/c, trees/vegetation & perhaps other settings but I did not catch the reference to this in the livestream. Did anyone else or am I misunderstanding this statement?

Even that speaks volumes, people should ask themselves “why? What’s Mscenery hiding?”

But honestly, I don’t think it should be an option for a dev to opt-out

I fully agree - I think anyone who looks closely at the Marketplace will see the lack of rentals as a red flag (once it’s more widely rolled out, obviously - not passing judgements yet). That said, people who regularly buy those kinds of low-hanging-fruit products are not generally the ones looking at anything very closely.
