The product page says required “PC/steam version”, which implies if you purchased Deluxe in Marketplace it’s not supported? Perhaps due to encryption (which shouldn’t be an issue with SU10 I assume). Not sure if anyone can confirm that (if not, I’ll send e-mail to JustFlight).
Seems like it’s out, got an email from just flight.
Does it support PMS GTN-750?
I think they mean currently not available for Xbox. To use on Xbox it would need to be available in the marketplace and not purchased from JustFlight. Will be interesting to see if MS starts accepting this type of “Airplane Mod” product into marketplace. The coordination needed on updates would suggest that is unlikely.
Thanks, I’m on PC but my understanding was that prior to SU10 it was not possible to make mods for deluxe/premium planes if you purchased on Marketplace due to encryption. Since SU10 not officially out yet perhaps they can’t say it’s officially supported yet for Marketplace “Deluxe” version.
If you would read the Product Description then you would realise that your statement is not true.
I’m not going to take the time to read the above posts to see what y’all are arguing about, but my two cents, as someone who flies irl, so far one of the best "enhancement"s to a default aircraft to mimic the real flight characteristics of a Cessna 172 that I’ve flown in the simulator for quite some time… I’d actually like to know who was responsible for overseeing/developing the engine-aerodynamics of this product so I could thank him!
Ow, lots of people do. If I get an option for steam gauges, and no GPS, I pick that. I love navigating old school (VOR’s) in the sim, or just fly purely visual. I much prefer the gauges over glass.
I did pick up premium deluxe for the steam gauge 172, I’ve bought the JustFlight Arrow, Miviz C310R, DC-6, 247D. More steam gauges is more better.
Just read the description: there a special version for this aircraft of the pms50 mod included. Also the KAP Mod is a special version for this aircraft - the KAP 140 now really works as it should. With ARM Button for ALt etc.. And Nav Arm mode if not on intercept course
A bit disappointed the mod doesn’t add CFD and new prop model from the G1000. Perhaps that’s a no go when selling a mod.
Suppose we will see freeware mods that do that when SU10 is out.
It does for me. How do you know it doesnt? Flight_model and Engine.cfg are clearly changed.
Are you sure? Neither the webshop page nor the manual mention it. Engine.cfg should have a string like Newpropmodel=1 or something similar.
I am sure. First thing I did, was comparing engine.cfg and flight_model.cfg. New prop mechanic and CFD are in. There are more changes made to the flightmodel. It should feel heavier with more MOI and more. No clue , why they dont mentioned it.
Good to hear!
Sounds a great mod and very reasonably priced for the amount of work that’s gone into it looking at the video. I’m glad this is for the analogue version I think there’s a lot more enjoyment running with old fashioned gauges. Far more satisfying having to scroll across all the steam gauges and looks far better in my opinion than big glass screens ![]()
Are those updates part of the mod or has ms pushed them through separately?
I hope you meant CFD, not CTD ![]()
I’ve been testing pre-release versions of this for a couple of months now, and it’s been nothing short of awesome as far as I’m concerned. They’ve been working diligently on this mod for many months, making sure this is as real as it can get within the constraints of what the sim can do. And as far as I’m concerned, they’ve knocked it out the park. There are so many tweaks to the default plane - some minor, some major - and new features like physical damage, fouling modelling, prop strikes, working breakers, failures, engine wear, a completely (correctly) rebuilt electrical system, 100% accurate KAP140, tearing off the struts with bad landings, etc, it’s like flying a new plane vs just a mod to an existing plane.
The only down side is that no modifications can be made to the physical model due to that being DLC locked. So additions like opening doors, replacing avionics, etc aren’t possible.
If you like steam gauge planes and like the 172, there’s really no question that you -=must=- get this. It’s worth every penny as far as I’m concerned. This gets 2 thumbs WAY up from me. How much do I like it and support this project? I just bought it at full price despite having a final pre-release copy that’s essentially the same as this release version.

I thought they were all getting unlocked?
