Frustrating that the SU betas are messing up the wasm on aircraft. Yet many on here say su4 is more than ready for release!
Last night I was given a license error, but no way to input it
Personally I think from a performance viewpoint only SU4 may be close to release.
From a stability point , not - there seem to have been a very large number of WASM related instabilities introduced - too many to be dealt with by listing each regression.
We have some aircraft - the JF F28 and RJ on Xbox - that don’t load ( sometimes multiple goes will get the F 28 loaded if you don’t get a CTD). Lots or aircraft on Xbox can no longer deal with Navigraph updates. The PMDG 777s suffer from severe and prolonged freezes in flight, the list goes on and on and on….
To my mind unless MS Asobo deal with this properly before release there will be big problems - aircraft for sale in MP that don’t even load or don’t work,properly, broken systems that will likely take many weeks or months of work to resolve. I don’t think that would be a very good state of affairs (understatement)

I had that happen too but only after I removed the wasm directory. Then I had the licence error, then I did a repair of the installation, then the sim recompiled RJ and it was fine. But I forgot to update Navigraph so had to reboot again. Loads of fun (not). Not the RJs fault though it was working fine before latest SU4 beta created the wasm issue. But I have flown it 4 times now with no issues.
Well, just one slight issue, the EFB disappears on a second flight. It’s fine on first flight on a new sim session. It requires a click to open on the efb hot-spot to open it on that second flught. However the strange thing is it pops open in a different slanted orientation which I can only adjust the position of a bit, but not back to original orientation against the window panel. It all still works though, it’s just a bit awkward to view it.
*It’ll be fine on PS5 (sarcasm), but serously PS5 release is meant to be with SU4 right? And PS5 launch is happening this week?
Actually PS5 may not have wasm aircraft on release, but it is meant to launch with su4.

This didn’t stop them from selling all LLs/FFs at a premium tier with no fixes from known issues carried over from FS20

I’ll have to dig into it next time I fire up the sim. Hopefully it’s a relatively easy fix. The RJ isn’t the only one I’ve seen with licensing issues

Is it just me or is this now broken in SU4? Aircraft won’t load into free flight anymore

It works fine for me, I’ve just checked. Take note that first loading into free flight takes a longer time after sim update. It compiles wasm files.
I’m flying it as I type. Mostly fine but some strange behaviour with the AP, AT and LVL CHG as I was climbing out of Malaga, constantly oscillating in pitch and speed, but it seems to have settled now. Unrelated, but there is also an issue with BATC traffic servers down at the moment in case you use that.
It won’t load in on Xbox since SU4 beta….
Lots of WASM instabilities introduced - and ignored by the devs.
I’ve tried many times on Xbox, left it for a fair while too, I’ll give it another go, thank you for the replies

That will teach me to not be impatient, wasn’t waiting long enough, now loads into flights ok, does anyone know if just flight have mentioned making it available in career? Now that would be great

I did however re-download the aircraft on the Xbox this may help, it will work eventually

Something isnt right - the JF F28 also struggles to load in though you can sometimes coax it by reloading the flight a couple of times.
Definitely needs a fix.
Edit - the RJ and F28 loading both broken in SU4 beta which introduced a stack of WASM related issues on many third party and stock aircraft - rather than fix, the dev team chose to plough on regardless and it will take many weeks - or longer - for things to be fixed. Real shame as the performance of the sim on Xbox has been improved
Edit 2: downloaded the RJ Professional - I was just streaming it - but it has made no difference - unable to persuade it to load whatever I do… so can confirm something is not right…

Hmm is this update for MSFS2024 only? I bought it on Simmarket and I see only MSFS2024 0.1.5 version. For MSFS2020 still old version 0.1.4.
Yes, MSFS2024 only.
There’ll be another update in the new year which will include some more fixes and improvements, and it will bring both the MSFS 2020 and 2024 versions back to the same version number.
