Just Flight / Black Square - Real Taxiways USA - Class B, C, D & Non-towered Airports

It is KERI. The developer says the default signs were wrong, so he’s not showing signs until he adds the correct ones one by one. But I thought if I was using Real Taxiways that the signs would show anyway?

You may be able to fix that by moving the “bksq-us-bcde” entry in the content.xml file below the entry for KERI.

Thanks, that worked! I never would have thought of that.

Also with Real Taxiways, I’m still getting the MMMM/OOOO error on the backs of signs. I’ve tried the fixes in their forum. Do you have a different fix for this problem?

Copying the two files specified in their forum has always worked for me.

I did copy those files - no luck. I renamed the original Asobo files as .INACTIVE. I have no other conflicting textures that I know of.

I checked 2 other airports, one default and one hand-crafted. I don’t see the problem at those airports. So far it’s only KERI.

I was hoping this would help with the blue taxi lights all over the taxiways(per the product description).
I don’t see any improvement. KGRR is still an absolute mess. KLSE still has them. I don’t find any airports yet where the rogue taxi lights were helped.

The new signs are nice, and the accuracy of the naming of taxiways seems better.

Those blue taxi lights across the taxiways are such a silly buzzkill though. Such a weird/basic thing to never be fixed by Asobo.

Note that it says “Drastically reduced lights on active taxiways at airports without green centrerline lighting (~90%)”

Airports with green centerline lighting are not improved with regards to light locations.

I can’t say I’ve noticed a lot of lights on the taxiways, though. Every once in a while something turns up but it’s completely harmless as you can drive right through them.

(The only reason I got it was to fix the taxiway labeling, so the correct letters are used in ATC directions.)

The airport I am currently looking at is KGRR with no green centerline lighting, and it is absolutely riddled with errant taxi lights at many of the intersections. None of the airports I use frequently have been helped it seems.

I mean, yeah, it doesn’t damage the aircraft, but it is a weird immersion killer for me.
One that I was willing to spend $40 to try and fix, but no such luck.

Yeah, not ideal. :frowning: Worst I’ve seen was once a windsock in the middle of a taxiway.

I’m interested in getting Black Square Real Taxiways USA. But I emailed Just Flight twice asking if the add-on was working ok with SU12 and can’t seem to get a response. Would appreciate hearing from any users as to how it’s behaving with SU12.

I didn’t notice any troubles with it during the beta.

never had any issues, and flew maybe 15 hours since su12 , no ctd if that is your concern

No issues as a result of SU12.

The only issue (since the start) is some signs display MMM, there is a fix.

hey all, new to the product, just a quick question, how would I go about getting updates when they release?

From their website.

That said, there’s only been 1 update since release.

Glad you said that because i was feeling like i was missing something…
