Just Flight have announced the Fokker F28 Fellowship

Yeah, Day 1 purchase here too. The BAe 146 and the various PA-28s are really up there with the very best current add-ons, and with good performance, stability and support too. You’re absolutely earned my trust.

Able to share anything new yet @NORTMAR ? Some of us are salivating here!

Been waiting a while for this one but there was an update today with some wonderful new photos. No update on timeframe but looks like great progress. These high quality planes take time…

We’ve invested a lot of time in significant upgrading all the F28 visuals as we originally developed the aircraft with P3D in mind, before MSFS suddenly appeared on the scene. That, along with our work bringing the PA28s, Hawk T1 and 146 to MSFS unfortunately delayed the F28, but rest assured it’s a top priority for us now.

Looking forward to this! There’s something with the Fokker planes I really like, still hoping to see the F27 and 50/60 Fokker’s in MSFS some day!

Does that imply that the Avro RJ is pretty close to being done? I think you mentioned a while ago you were the project lead on both the 146 / Avro RJ, and the F28.

(I’m also definitely interested in the F28, any passenger jet from Just Flight has my attention.)

I think you can read a little less into that  iirc the FMS upgrade for the 146 was first? ( presumably in an effort to catch bugs related to the RJ ).

How many more passenger jets have tail-mounted airbrakes?

Thanks for the info!
I love the other stuff you guys have done, the Arrows are great!

Awesome news seeing this coming!

Personally it’s brilliant having these old analogue planes so much more immersive and challenging having to glance across all those separate instruments.

New planes are nice but with so much stuff being automated and at your fingertips they get a bit boring for me.

I prefer flying old aircraft because they’re simpler, no need to remember all the quirks of some awkward pre-console-UI FMS just to tell the aeroplane where to go…

( yes, aircraft interfaces are being quite heavily influenced by consumer computer UIs now, or at least the military side is. Why did it take so long …).

We have just released a new in-development update for the F-28. The full update can be found at the following link: Just Flight - F28 Professional (MSFS)

A few pictures are included below to whet your appetite.

Looking great ! I for one, am really looking forward to this one !

Empire Airlines, by any chance?

Next Jetplane on its way …

I wish they had developed the brilliant Fokker F50 instead because there are more than enough Jetliners available.

Yeah, a nice regional turboprop would be nice. But I’ll definitely get the F28 when available.

I’ve been waiting for the F28 for years now. It’s great to finally see it get somewhat closer to being relased. As a Dutchman, it’s part of my heritage

I’d definitely love to see a bunch of regional turboprops. The selection is incredibly lacking right now. I’d love it if Just Flight did a proper F50, but that’s probably 10 years down the line with the current pace of many projects in the works. I’d settle for Carenado bringing over their F50.

I completely agree. Love to see the fokker 28 27 and 50.

Day 0 buy, my father used to fly this bird in the late 70s/early 80s

Very interesting, but didn’t find a lot of info about it on the internet. Speedbrake at the back and no fancy screens for the most part i guess? Looks like it would be a lot of fun to fly around.

We’ve tended to avoid turboprops for our internal projects as we simply can’t simulate the engine management to a realistic level without an entirely custom engine model, which is a significant investment. And of course we can’t escape the fact there is usually more demand for jets. However we are now looking into custom engine modelling so it might be a possibility in the future.
