I couldn’t get the plane to find the flight plans in the folder specified in the manual. I contacted support and they confirmed there is a mistake in the manual. This folder works on a Steam install:
Hi, i think this will be the dumbest question of the whole thread.
If i set COM1 frequency with the knobs in the radio stack i can’t set the frequency on the last decimal? Let’s say i tune 119.30 in the radio, then in the GPS i see 119.305 and for the game it’s not the same.
Not a critical hit, but i like to tune manually and the old radios knobs are far easier.
Actually you can tune .305 on the radio. It always takes two knob clicks to go from .30 to .31. So the first click when the hundreth doesn’t change is an “invisible” .305. I don’t know if that makes sense to you…
There seems to be an issue with the AIRAC 2504. I can’t add any VORs to a flight plan, and noticed that what procedures my plane thought were available were not what Simbrief thought. Replicated the issue this morning and read a few people having similar issues on the JF forums.
Just did my first flight in several months and noticed wipers don’t remove rain from the windscreen in FS2024. Is this a bug or intentional? I’d expect all planes have working wipers in FS2024.
I don’t think so, it doesn’t effect the 146. It feels like a typo or a type-error in a spreadsheet or table, so the database can only be loaded up until that point.
It’s from JF store. productdata.txt files says in the first line F28 Professional MSFS 2024, that’s why I got confused :). Product version 0.2.1.
I also noticed wipers don’t remove rain from the windscreen, a feature that should be available for all FS2024 planes. The MSFS2020 watermark and the wipers made me think if I am using the correct version of the plane. As you can see below, I didn’t even download the 2020 version.
With the F70/100 development team busy putting the finishing touches to the complex autopilot system, the F28 team are wrapping up work on the v2.2 upgrade. This will be another free-of-charge upgrade for existing F28 Professional owners (MSFS 2020 and 2024, PC and Xbox).
Whilst the priority was to upgrade the aircraft to be MSFS 2024 native, allowing for it to be released on MSFS 2024 Marketplace for the first time, we took the opportunity to make numerous other improvements. The most eye-catching of these is the addition of unique cabin branding for all the liveries included with the product, including some very period-authentic touches. Unlike in a modern airliner, the F28 operators came up with some very ‘bold’ design choices back in 1970s and 1980s. Here are just a handful of the ones that will be included in the F28 v2.2 upgrade.
Other upgrades include preflight walkaround support in MSFS 2024, and a new EFB tablet model with window mount option. We’ll bring you the full v2.2 changelog and release information very soon.
Alongside the F70/100 and F28 work, the 146 team are busy on the upcoming significant upgrade, including MSFS 2024 compatibility. More on that soon too!
